Trend: The Embroidered Biker

Happy Sunday guys!

Hope you've had a good weekend, mines been pretty busy again. This time last year I was at London Fashion Week, this time round I've been doing loads of DIY (the boring bit where you move Crap round and clear out before you refurb!) and building up our bed as we have moved everything around so we are now in the smaller bedroom.

Treated ourselves to a cinema date on Saturday for Lego Batman in-between though :) Feeling much better with so much old clutter got rid of. 2017 for us is alot about letting go of things and moving on.

This also includes a big change to my hurrrr which is happening in early April eeepp. So very overdue so am nervously excited! :) and a wardrobe update (naturally!)

I am totally obsessed with the latest trend on Biker Jackets, First seen on Gucci's catwalk for SS16, these have been huuuge news lately and the Highstreet have frantically fought with who has the best version of this coveted jacket. There are so many good lookeylikey copies around! Would love one of these for Spring but we will see how my paycheck looks like after I've been on holiday!

I love my hand painted one but would love a studded one or one of these embroidered beauties. Boohoos studded floral jacket is just outstanding!

Get channelling Gucci SS16 catwalk vibes with one of these gorgeous jackets, here's my pick of the best!

Valentines Wishlist

With Valentines day fast approaching I've created a new themed wishlist!

Although we don't really celebrate V-day, I do LOVE all the Valentines related buys and outfits, I guess it does have something to do with that the spring gear is starting to appear in shops and its all colourful and stuff so I'm totally drawn to it after months of boring dark colours...even if its too cold to wear it yet! Had our first mini snowy day today but was more like just a few snow flakes tbh!

I also went on a date day with Rich for the first time since forever. We realised we spent most of 2016 work work working and literally only spent just under 10 days last year actually enjoying ourselfs and treating us to things so this year we are hoping to do things a little differently whilst saving for a house. Our date day today was in London grabbing a few bits for our Iceland trip and I finally got a new pair of mom jeans so I'm no longer living in leggings as that's all I've been able to fit in to lately. Will blog on those another time :)

Heres my Valentines themed wishlist though, my absolute faves being the Doc Martin Heart Boots (how amazing are they) and Reclaimed Vintage Romeo and Juliet collection Jacket & Ten Things I hate about you pin from Gypsy Warrior... such good films! Maybe will dig out some chick flicks for Valentines though my plan is actually to go and see Lego Batman.. slightly obsessed with him! Not interested in 50 Shades one bit! :)

I can also vouch for the I Love Make Up Goddess Of Love highlighter - sooo good and only a fiver! You don't need to use alot for a really nice glow! The packaging on this is soo pretty and is a good dupe of Two Faced's Polly Pocket Esk highlighters :)

Check out Gypsy Warrior and Reclaimed Vintage on Asos to see the Romeo and Juliet Valentine collection and Gypsy Warriors Ten Things collection - they are bound to sell out fast!

1) Hate Mail Dress - Lazy Oaf  | 2. Red Lover Satin Bomber - Valfre | 3. Pink Heart Wallet - Stradivarius - | 4.  Hate the Way Enamel Pin - Gypsy Warrior | 5. Bentley II Heart Boots - Dr Martens | 6.  Goddess Of Love Highlighter - I Love Make up | 7. Romeo & Juliet Back Patch Military Jacket - Reclaimed Vintage | 8. Loud As Hell Lolita Sunnies - Gasoline Glamour

January Pay Day Wishlist

Its almost here!! The longest ever pay waiting game of the yeeeaaarrr is almost over (sigh of relief!)

Its also time for new season trends to start popping up as much as I love this it frustrates me at the same time. Whats with bringing in all this beaut springy like stuff when Winters only just arrived?! Sort it out fashion peeps! otherwise, hurry up warmer weather so I can wear some of this!

Still adding it all to my wishlist though as not sure I'll be able to wait too long, it looks like the embroidery thing is still going for now and there's also a HUGE nod to this springs biggest trend - its all about them sleeves! More on that another day..

Here's my current pinned list of faves, doubt I'll be able to buy much (if anything) due to Icelandy saving as its now 6 weeks away and I've still got a couple of things to book. Its a seriously expensive holiday but I know it will be so worth it :)

Hugely crushing on studded jackets and florals still and that Asos dress has Spring written all over it! <3 my fave new in sections at the mo have to be River Island though and Missguided! Two shops I've not really gone for in a long time so they are seriously winning me back if they have pretties like these on the rails!

Whats your fave?

1. Light Blue Embroidered Studded Jacket - Glamourous | 2. Cher Ankle Grazer Tartan Trousers - Love Too True | 3. Velvet Quilted Patch Bomber Jacket - Asos | 4. Green Bardot Waterfall Sleeve Bodysuit - Missguided | 5. Multi Print Cami Dress - Asos Premium | 6. Black Wash T-shirt Dress - Missguided | 7.  Embroidered and Studded Denim Bag - River Island | 8. Nights In

Super long January is made for nights in! Check out my PJ wish list and cookie dough recipe, perfect for evening snuggles!
I have never been a night owl, or one for pubbing and clubbing. My only ever club experience being at Ministry of Sound several years ago and only lasting 20 minutes before feeling very claustrophobic and needing to get out and away from the noise and small cramped rooms.

My then Boyfriend I had been seeing for a few months (now husband!) also then decided to leave the club with me instead of stay on his own which he now always does, now having learnt that trance and house music is a stuffy club is not really my scene!

Both of us do love a cosy night in though,  so we love to get snacks and cuddle up under our sofa blanket. Particularly been doing this alot this weekend thanks to my delightful sinuses playing up and being blocked (gotta love it when they decide that they are gonna play up for your whole weekend then feel better when you need to go back to work!) 😒

I spent today in the kitchen trying to feel inspired by food again so made a soup, which kinda became more of a thick pasta sauce so need to try this one again! However I have successfully made some cookie dough which is perfect for sofa treats on nights in which I've shared the recipe below!

Also I've made my PJ wish list . I literally live in PJs when I'm not outside so they def deserve their own wishlist! Absolutely adore the Toy Story PJs from George @ Asda!

How to make safe to eat raw cookie dough

You need:

  • 100g Butter (softened at room temperature)
  • 175g Soft Brown Sugar
  • 2Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 140g Plain Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Full Fat Milk

  1.  Beat the butter and sugar together, pref in a mixer if you have one, I used my hand held Argos Value mixer and it worked a treat still!
  2. Add the vanilla, and flour and mix till it looks like bread crumbs
  3. Mix in the milk and that's it! yummy safe raw cookie dough!
Perfect for adding to ice cream, unless you want to drizzle chocolate on top (as I have done very enthusiastically below)  or add marshmallows, Nutella, peanuts or digestive biscuits to it! :)

Enjoy your winter nights in!

Witch Please!

Channel a look worthy of The Craft with my latest wishlist - perfect for the modern witch!

Hey all, hope you all had a good weekend and got all Halloweeny themed!

I've been pretty lazy tbh the last couple of Halloweens and have done abit of dress up for work but not much else! This one happens to fall bang on my pay day (which totally and utterly sucks!) and it means I've had no monies to prepare get anything together for the day aside carving my pumpkin! booo! Was worth my last £2 to buy one though, can't be Halloween without one.

Luckily, I've also found an idea I can dress up as without spending anything as I have a few In Your Dreams face jewels left from Brighton Pride and have made myself a turban out of some excess tie dye fabric, abit of imagination later and I'm a tarot card reader for Halloween yay! :)  There won't be an outfit post on this one as its been a busy workday so I haven't had the time to shoot this but promise I will do try to do a Halloween themed post or two next year!

Whilst searching for ideas though I stumbled on these amazing witchy pretties and made this wishlist! Too good just to wear for Halloween! My faves are the Night Orb Leggings & Current Mood Boots! Whats yours? :)

1. Witchy Woman Ringer Tee - Gypsy Warrior | 2. Cat Muscle Tee - Valfre | 3. Rose Embroidered Velvet Jacket - Valfre | 4. Uniskelly Bag - Dolls Kill | 5. Mood Beast Platforms - Current Mood | 6. The Occult Midi Ring - The Rogue & The Wolf | 7. Coffin Silicon Phone Case - Valfre | 8. Orb Of The Night Leggings - Dolls Kill

Happy Halloween!

Embroidery

Get your sewing machines at the ready! We are checking out one of the hottest summer trends - embroidery

You may have noticed the high street and online being adorned in all these pretty embroidery garms! If not, where have you been!

Thanks to the catwalks of Gucci, embroidery looks here to stay throughout SS16. For the most part of this year we have seen patches and illustrated jackets take the fashion world by storm giving a huge boost for those who love to customise their clothes - this year is definitely time to shine!

If you're not great on the sewing machine (I've still gotta learn mine!) don't worry cus these pretty garms are gonna be everywhere, if not already so you can get your hands on something without having to head to HobbyCraft. Its definitely got me feeling creative though and thinking more about customising my existing/ older clothes that could do with some DIY love.

I'm really intrigued by this trend as it cane be worn on pretty much any material garment - be it a silk bomber, denim or mesh. My personal faves of the above being the mesh embroidered maxi and the denim jeans. Boohoo I have to say is mastering this trend so well - head to their site for a huuge choice of embroidered things and get your wish list at the ready!

Topshop never let us down when it comes to any vintage style trends and again they do not disappoint. It has the most dreamiest collection of pinafores, smock dresses and boots which I can't wait to try and see if I can get my hands on when its payday, guarantee these will sell out fast! Debenhams SS15 Press Event

A month or so ago, I was invited to the Debenhams SS15 press show, which took place earlier this week in London. I very excitedly said yes and popped up to London to see what they have in store for next season!

I spent ages wondering around the stands creating a huuge wish list! This has got to be Debenhams most boldest and best season collection to date.

My favourite brands: Floozie, H! Holland & Matthew Williamson didn't disappoint, with such cool prints such as bicycles, watermelons (yep lots of fruityness!) and some amazing holographic stuff! It was all really bright and fun and its made me wish it could be summer all over again, but for all these lovely things, we will have to wait till next year for these to appear in Debenhams stores.

What I'm Wearing - Metallic Jewel Tone Print Skirt & Crop Top Co-ord - Missguided

Floozie Watermelon Accessories

Floozie Flamingo Bikini
Jenny Packham Feather Cape
Matthew Williamson Butterfly
Mantaray Dress
H! Holland Milk Carton Bag
Floozie Nautical Pumps and bag

I took sooo many pictures (200+!) they wouldn't all fit on here so I made a quick video thingy so you can see all the highlights and pick out your faves :) I'll also add on the Homewear section on another post soon.
