Ragged Priest x Joanna Launch Party!

Last Week I was invited by the Ragged Priest to attend the Ragged Priest x Joanna launch party!

I went along after work as only had a few hours notice so hopped on the train still in my Primark basics for workwear to go up to London for the evening! I was so wishing I hadn't decided to be lazy the night before n just chilled in my onesie all evening instead of getting the sticky red wine out of my hair & had worn something more funky but ah well! :)

The party was in the super hip area of London Shoreditch where I have only been a couple of times before - have made a mental note to go back there to do some shopping on Brick lane as it all looked so cool! :) I also bumped in to one of my fave bloggers The Young Eccentric at the party too which left me a little tongue tied as I adore her style & felt really shy to say hello! Was my first event where I've been able to be with other bloggers I follow which was pretty awesome.

After some pizza and popcorn I had a look at the new range which Ragged Priest has collaborated with polish model and instagram superstar Joanna Kuchta. Its safe to say this is the Ragged Priests most cutest and pinkest collab yet!

Here are some of my snaps from the event! Sorry they are only iPhone shots & are abit blurry. I also had a look around their SS16 collection which I have to say looks INCREDIBLE! :) I will do a separate post on this soon! :)

The whole theme of the collection was super cute n girly and felt like a sleepover party due the amazing pizza from Voodoo Rays & cosy bed with a giant teddy bear!

My fave pieces of the Ragged x Joanna collection are the Teddy Ringer Tee & the fleecy faux shearling sweater!

Want to shop the collection? You can find it here :)

Don't forget that it's cyber weekend, so you can get up to 50% off everything, including the new collection!

I just wish it was payday sooner, I won't be able to shop till Monday! :(

Sarah in Wonderlust gets hitched!

Sooo as your probably aware, last month I got married! It was a really rushed wedding due to my dads illness (he has vascular dementia) and we wanted to make sure he could be there with us on our big day and that he would be in our photos to remember always.

These are just a handful of photos from the day but give you an idea of what we did!

Venue & Suppliers:

Venue: Lewes Town Hall > Alciston Village hall
Wedding Dress - Free People // Carolyns Dream Dress
Crystal Blush Antlers // Kelly Eden
Photography // Nicola Kirk Photography
Colourful Lanterns // Hanging Lantern Co
Chairs & Fairy lights // Southern Events
Rainbow Roses // Rose Florist Brighton
Make up // Poppy Glendening MUA
Custom Carved Tree Stump Ring Box // MH Woodland Etsy store
Rings // H Samuel
Bracelets & Feather Necklace // New Look
Feather Wings Print Shawl // Shovava Etsy Store
Unicorn Marshmallow Jars // Whimsical Cake Company Etsy Store
Parasols // Confetti
Catering // Fab food 4 you

I knew I wanted a really colourful wedding so I asked my guests to dress as colourfuly (if thats a word!) as poss. I hate it when people wear black at wedding unless this is part of the theme. Unless gothic glam is your theme then I kinda don't get it, weddings should be bright and colourful! :)

I went for a rainbow wedding theme which sort of also evolved in to a midsummer nights dream! The decorating guys who did the lanterns on the ceiling described it as a midsummer nights dream on acid!

I am very lucky to have some wonderful colleagues who helped me design invites, lent me a tipi, did my henna & helped me put the hall together that I had booked for a reception after the wedding which looked exactly how I had imagined!

The weather to start the day was really misty but set the scene really well and made it look magical! It brightened up later to be a gorgeous autumn day!.

For the dress I knew I didn't want anything too princessy as wanted something I could run about n dance in without feelin to pressured to just sit n look perfect all day.

Luckliy, boho goddesses Free People had just launched a wedding collection full of beautiful yet easy to wear dresses. I love this dress as it has shorts on underneath and has gorgeous indian style beading which went perfectly with my henna!

I also didn't want a traditional veil as feel they can be crazy expensive and didn't feel like they were very me, I drew up some inspiration from The Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty expo I attended in the summer and went for some amazing antlers instead. I found Kelly Eden who makes these incredible antler headbands on instagram and got these sent over from LA. <3

I had a backup floral & gold coin crown as well for the evening as the antlers were to heavy for dancing & wore my Shoava shawl throughout the day & then my Not your baby leather dinosaur jacket for the evening.

Indian Summer

Tassel Suede Fringe Tan Jacket // Boohoo (now only £12!!)
Elephant Necklace // Claire's Accessories
Brown Fedora // Select
Brown Suede Cut Out Boots // New Look

Ok - totally get it may be abit of a stretch to call it an indian summer now that we are in November but it is still pretty mild outside if your live in the south of the UK (still pretty much 16-17 degrees here) When I've been up north in the UK at this time of year you can definitely note the temperature change!

I think I may have noticed this playsuit a little late on Motel as it may have actually of been in Motel a while cus of it's name but had to get it and wear to for the last couple of weeks in autumn as its just soo pretty!

Its the perfect retro playsuit and fits in perfectly with this years 70's trend. The pattern is very 70s nans wallpaper but I love it! :)

The sleeves are what make this piece so unique, not only are they flared bell sleeved by they also pretty three quarter frilly ones! <3

Wish I had spotted it on Motel slightly sooner to get more wear out of it for this season! Hoping they make a winter maxi dress in the same pattern in burgundy red perhaps to take it through to next season (hint hint & pretty please Motel!)

Love, Sarah  x
