Hot!MeSS

How insanely hot has it been here in the UK this week?! Can't remember a time its ever been this humid!

Typically though, I booked today off and in good old British weather traditions, the rain decided that this was the day to make an appearance despite the fact it has been glorious all week!

#verybritishproblems

Anyway, on to the outfit! This is my only top and trouser co-ord I've got for this summer, strange as they were so huuge last year and I really liked the co-ord trend! If you too are wanting to go for a co-ord this summer and wanted something new and different I'd def recommend checking out Hot Mess.

This is the gypsy print which is a really vivid paisley and sorta indian-y looking design which you can choose in LOADS of different types of outfit on the site, including bikinis and swimsuits, shorts and shirt dresses. Its a great idea so you can mix and match the tops and bottoms or even change up with any of the other prints they do!

I've gone for these super comfy high waist trousers which are better than any other high waist trousers I've got as they are so much more breathable & silky! My other New Look ones that I use for plane attire are a much thicker material which isn't too great in 30 degrees.

I've teamed up the bottoms with the cross back bra as the back is lovely and its a really flattering cut at the front.

Hot Mess is also launching on the high street with a concession stand already up in Selfridges, Manchester, Topshop Oxford Street (which I visited today! Take a look at my instagram to see what I got up to!) & Lakeside & Cardiff and on next Sunday they will be opening up in Leicester.

Riiight, I'll sign off now , got a couple of busy days coming up, am doing a seminar of Social Media tomorrow and then heading straight off to Silverstone for the British GP..should be interesting!

Retrograde

Rainbow Pyrite Cord Crystal Necklace // Urban Outfitters (online exclusive)
Rainbow Crystal Cord Necklace // Urban Outfitters
Feather Temporary Tattoo // Joelles Emporium - Etsy
Brown Leather Tassel Satchel // Boohoo
Black Fedora // Asos
Lips // Topshop Beauty - Drive

Although I'm not going to LFW this week and hanging out with the fashion elite:( (boooo) I'm back with my outside yard wall and feelin like a rock star in these uhmazin Skinny Flare bell bottoms from Rokoko! There's something about weird about flares and how they make u feel like a 70's rock star - all I know is I love them and will be wearing these till they fall apart, will def be buying more!

The only downside is rain: flares + rain don't mix so will be taking care to make sure these only go out on dry weather days unless I wanna absorb all the rainwater on the pavement. Can remember my old skatery grungey jeans doing the same and they got wrecked!

I've done a fair bit of new accessory buying recently as well and looking for loads more new jewelery brands as my old necklaces are looking really tired. I popped in to Urban Outfitters a couple of weeks back and bought these two crystal necklaces which for me are really different to my usual style as I am heavily in to my chokers but thought these would be nice for layering to create more boho style looks. think I might start collecting more crystal necklaces, feel like I'm starting to dress more like my teenage self - which to me is a good thing cus I was much more creative then with layering and trying out new things - so many people get in to their 20's and then do nothing but either wear black or wear head-to-toe Superdry!! (not that I dislike Superdry, Some of their stuff is actually really nice!)

If you're looking for some cool new boho stylee things I'd def recommend checking out Rokoko & Urban Outfitters - not to mention Boohoos lastest drop is full of all things tassley and suedey too!

Spring 15 Edit - Lust List

This month is without a doubt the worst & longest wait for payday, am now at the point where I'm having to come up with creative dinner ideas from whatever is in the cupboards, although it is the easiest month to make a wishlist as once the sales have started to dwindle, boom! in comes all this pretty spring stuff & this year its all about 70's 70's 70's!

Topshop never let us down when it comes to any vintage style trends and again they do not disappoint. It has the most dreamiest collection of pinafores, smock dresses and boots which I can't wait to try and see if I can get my hands on when its payday, guarantee these will sell out fast! Here are my best picks of Spring and what's new online & in stores at the mo!

Clockwise from Top:

Black Lace-Up Front Playsuit - Pretty Little Thing
Brown Paisley Playsuit - Pretty Little Thing

Stripes are also back though this year with more colour,  the monochrome colour block style stripes that have dominated the fashion world for the last few SS season are now  taking a step back and making way for these colourful deck chair, seasidey kinda stripes for a cool spring look. Monochrome stripes are still about though for those of you who who are not fans of colours!

Clockwise from Top

Shirt & Skirt Co-ord - Asos
Black & White Striped Culottes - Primark
Striped Shorts & Tee Co-ord - Zara
Red & White Cropped Jacket - River Island

Here are some of my fave picks that are also on my lust list for this month. I've been scouting around for new brands to obsess over this year and have found loads of really cool ones including Aussie based label - Discount Universe, Ichiban, Lovers & Drifters and MeeMee. I have had Gypsy Warrior on my radar or some time now but think I def need to make my first purchase with the Rose Nightfall dress! Think mesh dresses are gonna be a great layering staple piece for me this spring whilst we wait for the temperatures to climb! Hurryyy Upppp Summer!

Clockwise from Top

Pink & Grey Glitter Asymmetric Skirt - Ragged Priest
Bambi Print High Neck Top & Shorts Co-ord - Oh My Love
NightFall Mesh Maxi Dress in Rose - Gypsy Warrior
Care Bears Oversized T-shirt Dress - Ichiban

Lastly, I thought I'd also share with you the Primark SS15 spring preview that was held in London a few weeks ago. Some AMAZING things here, that have already started appearing in stores. Sales Pick #2 Paisley Brocade Shift Dress

Brocade Paisley Shift Dress // Topshop
Leopard Print Furry T-Bar Shoes // Topshop

Another amazing print from the sales is this Brocade shift dress with its big nod to up and coming 60's/70s tend which is set to be huge this season. I'm amazed this is in the sale as I'm pretty sure is was one of the dresses that was worn by Cara D in the TopShop A/W party wear campaign and it was my fave piece from the whole campaign!

The print is gorgeous, very Nans old wallpaper from the 70's but that's what I really like about it, its really retro! Feel like I've come out of a time warp!

Brocade Dress - Was £65 - Now £20

Love, Sarah x

P.S Speaking of Cara and her most recent TopShop colabs, her 2015 new season video is now live! Take a peek here and start writing your Topshop SS15 wish list now!
