Oh hey, Its been a while...

Photo taken by my Earth Angel - Mumma!

So since this was taken I took the longest break from blogging, pretty much all of this summer! It wasn't something I had planned but I had alot of stuff going round in my head to focus on and things to change.

I saw this post on Linked In a little while ago and it totally hits the nail on the head for me. It so important cus I know I'm not the only person to feel they are always being made to feel they are not good enough no matter how much you try or even know you are doing well!

Whether people who you call your friends are making you feel this way, your boss or your colleagues its not cool and you don't have to take it as its nothing more than bulling.

When someone pulls you down remember:

1. They are voicing their insecurities.
2. They don’t like what you can become.
3.  Don’t take rejection, disappointment or setbacks personally, just let it add fuel to the fire. Believe in yourself and keep working on your dreams.

Work hard, stay strong & keep pushing on,

Festiglam

Looking for a last minute festival outfit? Head to Boohoo for some pom pom pretty or make your own!

Suede Pom Pom Waistcoat // Boohoo Boutique
Cow Print Skirt // Handmade by me!
Black Jingly Belt (worn as a top!) // can't remember, is very old!
Bag // given as a gift :)

Sorry this outfit is SUCH a long time coming, I've almost missed the whole festival season and yet still its not quite done. I realised afterwards I shot these I forgot the pom pom sandals as well I made as I made them such a long while ago! waahh! I'll have to shoot them with another outfit.

I couldn't wait any longer though as I wanted to actually get round to showing to this amazing waistcoat! I have def got a thing for waistcoats at the mo as they are so easy to throw on top of anything. This one has a gorgeous Indian style sequin pattern which matches the bag perfectly. :)  Just could do with some face gems and glitters to make this look completely festival ready  :)

Reason its taken so long to put this together is the skirt! :) I started making this a few weeks ago after seeing loads of cow print skirts earlier in the season and REALLY wanting one but just finding they were too pricey. This one I made myself for just £4.50 including the zip after spotting a couple of off cuts in my local haberdashery store! problem was I broke my sewing machine so had to wait to borrow my sisters for me to complete it.

Its so easy to get creative for festival looks - just raid your local Hobbycraft for pom poms and look for off cuts of fabric to make unique patches! Hope this has inspired you to make your own festival look for the end of the season but if your running short on time and in need of an outfit I've created a get the look option below - all of these and more are now on sale at Boohoo! :)

Antica Sartoria

Sea salt beachy hair stoney beach + this amazing outfit from Italy's Amalfi Coast makes for holiday dreamin..

Lilac Frill Dress (also doubles up as a skirt!) // Antica Sartoria
Lilac Embroidered Scarf (worn as belt) //  Antica Sartoria

Its been almost a year I’ve been waiting to dig this one out can't believe its almost been a year since I got married and was in Sorrento, Italy (aka, heaven on earth!)

I bought this ensemble from the most beautiful boutique in Sorrento town last October and wore it throughout our Honeymoon but on returning to the UK autumn was well and truly here so it went in the wardrobe awaiting summer again and here it is!

I went out last Sunday & whist it was a nice day it was a little windy so I went for a fairly minimalist make up face as per usual Sunday style and beachy sea salt hair as I couldn't be bothered to wash it before going out for a blowy walk! :).

Want to find out more about Antica Sartoria? head over to Sweet Southern Blue's blog as she has also written a great write up and took pictures of this pretty shop (I was too busy shopping for pictures haha!)

Its almost like they had SS16 in mind a year early with the pretty embroidered detail on the lilac scarf (worn as a belt) and the frilliness of the dress. I love gypsy floaty style things for summer so I couldn’t resist buying the whole outfit as it was in the window! It was just perfect for Sorrento as I love my holiday outfits to be around all girly and pretty , especially if there are in a location like Italy

Antica Sartoria sell the most gorgeous garms, next time we go I will be bringing an extra case just to visit this shop and get more. Most def will be a nexxt time, I would love to travel the whole Amalfi Coast! <3

Have you stumbled on any great boutiques on your travels? Let me know!

Monochrome Palazzo

Put those leggings to the back of your closet and get summer loving with Palazzo pants!

Monochrome Boho Print Palazzo Pants  // Primark
White Chiffon Off-Shoulder Top // Forever 21
Dream Catcher Choker // New Look
Sandals // Primark

A good comfy pair of summer trousers are a must have for any wardrobe. I got hot pretty easy so on days where I don't fancy being dressy palazzo pants are a godsend.

This is my first pair I've bought in a little while as my floral ones from about 2012 are still going strong though are super long and need to be worn with heels. These fab ones from Primark are actually designed for flat sandals so even more comfort - yay!

I particularly like the tie up flared side panel bits that give them a real boho edge. When I actually spotted these in the window of Primark I initially assumed it was a long skirt with a tied up waist but then on my next visit and on closer inspection realised they were actually palazzo trousers so I picked them up!

They are so good for relaxing summer days that you always think your in PJs I did have to look down this morning to make sure I definately wasn't about to go our the door in my jammies!

Not a fan of white? They also come in a reverse black with a white boho print too!

Purple Flower Ruffle Halter Dress // Free People - was £78 now £45!
Black Thigh High Boots // Sole Affair

I am no stranger to Free People Clothing having also got my wedding dress from their gorgeous boho wedding collection last year. They make such exquisite pieces, I just wish they were a tiney bit more affordable, I would love to have a wardrobe of all things from Free People!

Thankfully, Asos have also been stocking a few designs and I stumbled across this dress in their last season sale for under half price! Thinking this would be perfect for my mini break to the French Riviera in a few weeks time I snapped it up :) soo can't wait to get away!

By the time I'm over in France though in May I will hopefully be in my sandals catching some rays, having cast my thigh highs to the back of my wardrobe till later in the year! :)

Gypsy Soul

Calling all festival & boho babes! Pretty Little Thing has got you covered with their latest collection...

Vayla Green Choker Printed Playsuit // Pretty Little Thing
Fringed Brown Suede Jacket // Boohoo
Brown Suede Wicker Heels // New Look
Western Style Belt // Primark

So, it is officially festival season, one of my faves as it means fringing and boho babin galore!

This year, my fave collection is by far Pretty Little Things Gypsy Soul range - I have not been this excited about a collection drop in aaages but when I first saw it hit instagram a couple of weeks ago and then checked on the site I quite literally wanted everything!

I was a good girl though and just allowed myself to pick just one thing at the mo (will most def be going back to get more!) and I chose this beautiful green playsuit,

I don't own alot of green so it makes a nice change to my wardrobe and the fluted sleeves are soo flattering... just so in love with it! I also treated myself to an In Your Dreams face sticker set which by the looks they are also promoting with the collection as all the photos have them in - super exciting as I've also been following In Your Dreams on instagram as well and love their festival make up! Will def give them a go and let you know how they turn out!

I'm afraid I can't find a link to it or find many of the other things I added from the collection to my pintrest board..gonna hazard a guess and say pretty much everything in there is sold out! :(

Hopefully they will be restocking soon so you can see the full range and shop one of these lovely pieces too!

Check out the promo and collection here and keep your eyes on any announcements of restocks.. think there will be a stampede for the second wave if they are to restock anything!

Neck Ties & Boho Layering

Trying out the new season trends - The neck tie is fast becoming my new favourite accessory..

Grey Ribbed Midi Dress // Ebay (coming to a Depop near you!)
Nightfall Dress // Gypsy Warrior
Grey Bandana, Pink Mongolian Furry bag & Silver Hair clickers // New Look
(now buy one get one free in New Look!)

The infamous Gypsy Warrior dress is back - though to be honest it wasn't intended! I had actually planned to wear the grey ribbed dress I'm wearing underneath but when it arrived the other day I realised it was actually a midi dress, rather than a maxi dress which the eBay seller had described...boo!!

Its only one of a few my eBay faux pas though I've had over the years but this one was pretty annoying as I have been wanting a long sleeved maxi in grey for ages and was chuffed when I came across this Asos one on eBay..ah well - will prob end up adding this to Depop soon or just saving for workwear as its far to clingy and Kardashian like for me to want to wear at the weekend!

So I threw my trusty mesh dress over the top, its one of very few items in my wardrobe that gets worn regularly and I could never be without it. I prob should of done a how to wear this dress at least 10 different ways posts instead of the last two posts but oh well! Guess its a good thing to start wearing my wardrobe more often instead of new outfits all the time.

My fave thing though is the newest trend for this season - the neck tie. I used to wear alot of neck ties when I was a teen but am pleased these are making a comeback but as bandana neck ties! I have been stocking up on all different colours lately and love how they make make any outfit look chic in a few seconds! expect to see these making an appearance in alot of upcoming posts (which hopefully won't include my gypsy warrior dress!!)

Byron Bay Meets London..

Coral Boho Stripe Wrap Skirt // Spell & The Gypsy Collective
Coin Necklace // Primark
Black Western Style Boots // Primark

Byron Bay meets London Vintage with this gorgeous wrap around skirt..

This is without a doubt my fave thing I have bought this season. I have been wearing it to death lately and have been waiting ages to shoot this one!

Its from a Australian brand Spell & The Gypsy who make stunning boho clothes that are really unique to any other boho brand out there.

The story behind the design of this skirt is that the designers came across a similar design skirt to this whilst looking around London Vintage markets. A decade later with some Spell design magic and they created this lovely!

Its a thick cotton weave material so the quality of the fabric is really nice yet not too hot to wear for summer. I wasn't able to get a shot of how it looks when you walk and not sure sure how to explain it but it has nice movement if that makes any sense!! it doesn't hang straight and taut all the time which I really like and the wrap style makes its incredibly comfortable and flattering as you tie it quite high on your hips.

You can get a matching bustier top with it and go all coordinating if you wanna but I quite like keeping it comfy and have opted for this boxy style crop top from one of my fave brands WildFox.

Def wanna go to Oz and go shopping there now, keep seeing so much nice things online that all come from Australia! Maybe will try and squeeze in a trip there someday!
