My Jan Sales Picks - Accessories

Throughout the January I haven't had much luck finding any outfits in the sales as such, I actually hate trawling through messy sales rails only to find something you think is in your size but turns out its on the wrong hanger....ain't got time for that!

I do enjoy finding accessories though, before Christmas I saw these beauties but felt they were just abit pricey for me to be parted with any monies from my wallet - now that Christmas is over with they have all gone down to half price, some even 75% off! :)

Robot Bag - Accessorize - was £32 now £10.75

As per usual the Accessorize sale delivered, I always tend to find something in Accessorize. I loved this lil Robot bag when I saw it before Christmas but at £35 I couldn't really justify it despite my love of  novelty bags. In the sale though this is not only £10! Bargain!

Velvet Bra & My Little Pony Phone Case - Topshop - was £23 now £12, Case £5

I saw this cute set in Topshop In Oxford Circus the other week, I've been a fan of push up bras lately so wanted something that was still pretty but less padded on days in between (don't wear push up bras for days on end..it hurts!) This velvet one ticked all the boxes, is comfortable and like most Topshop bras I find fit nicely.

The phone case was abit of a random find, there were loads of them in he sale baskets near the concessions stuff  so I picked it up having wanted a My Little pony case for my collection for a while! Not sure what the brand is tbh and neither did the cashier!

Pink Mongolian Furry Bag & Brown Furry Stole/Scarf  - New Look - Was £20, Now £8, Fur stole was £15 now £7

I saw these both in New Look Stratford City. I have been wanting a Mongolian furry bag for ages but never get round to getting one as they are so pricey. This one was just in the sales and with this blush pinky colour will go with all Spring wardrobe pallets as well as metallics :) Expect to see this one in a few outfit posts soon. The brown furry scarf I had my eyes on again for a while but couldn't afford it so jumped on it in the sale!

Silver Glitter Platforms - Boohoo - was £25, now £16

You may remember my velvet ones I blogged about just before Christmas? These were another amazing pair from Boohoos stunning partywear collection that I had to also get! so looking forward to teaming these up with socks and prints for quirky party looks.

Stars and stripes shoe laces & comic strip nail stickers - Claire's - was £5 , now £3 stickers now £2

Claires always pull off a good sale! I picked these up a some saturday treats! The shoe laces are something i thought I could jazz up some old white trainers with and remind me to book our trip to NY soon hopefully and the comic strip nails look amazing, I love nail stickers and Claire's ones usually do last well.

Have you had any lucky finds in the sales? Let me know! :)

Lace Up

Black Fringed Bag // Primark
Grecian Leaf Gold Headband // Claires

I have to say I have never understood the fascination with the little black dress, but the little white dress is something else!

I have plenty of  little white dresses in my wardrobe in both bodycon and skater styles and I just love them - they are perfect for spring and summer and is one of my fave colours to wear, particularly if its white mesh on a sporty look!. I just find wearing black boring if worn more than once, or unless I'm feeling gothic for a day..sorry not sorry! :)

This lace up Missguided number gives a nod to the seventies trend which looks to carry on in to the A/W15 collections as well. I had hung up my tassels and flares for a little while a couple of months ago as though I would go back to re-embracing the trend for later this year. Am too excited about wearing brown suede and tassels amongst the brown leaves and autumness this year.

I have also finally got myself a pair of gladiator lace up heels, yay! abit late on this trend but wanted to sneak them in before the end of this season and I will most definitely be taking these on my honeymoon to Italy in a couple of months eeek!!

If you are also heading on on a late summer holiday and desperately need to get your hands on some new sandals Public Desire have some amazing ones including tons of lace up ones like mine! why not check out their summer sale here

Just a Girl

Green Knitted Stripe Tee // Topshop (Sold Out)
Hayden Ripped Boyfriend Jeans // Topshop
Silver Sneakers // New Look
Elephant Necklace // Claires
Blue Bindi // Brighton Lanes

I was channelling my inner Gwen the other day. My ultimate style icon.

I dug out my collection of bindis I have found in various shops over the years and teamed it up with this knit stripe tee from TopShop for a little bit of 90s girlness. I actually shot this before hearing the news about Gwen and Gavin Rosdale. What the hell? Thought they were one of these couples that was gonna be forever :( and then Kermit and Miss Piggy on the same day!! Sad times!

Back on to the stripy tee though, its def one of my fave newbie items in my wardrobe and seems to be alot of others as well thinking this too as this has totally sold out too! Please make more Topshop and in different colours! A girl can never own too many stripy tees, like Gwen's super cool No Doubt looks they just never go out of style.

Rainbow Series #2 - This Is How We Do

Rainbow Iridescent Visor // Primark
Iridescent Cleated Sandals // Primark
Rainbow 90's Choker // Vintage Fair
Fast Food Charm Bracelet // Katy Perry Prism Collection @ Claires
Rainbow Smiley Toe-Sox // ollllddd - think Claires

Sorry for the multiple backgrounds! was trying to take pictures in the Aegon tennis courts which are due to be played in next week and managed to get in a few sneaky pictures before was spotted by security!! :D had to then retreat to the backyard again. never mind, was pretty fun and managed to get a couple of shots although the sun was in the wrong place!

On to the outfit, I challenged myself to buy a bodysuit having liked them for sometime but worried I wouldn't be able to style it up easily, how wrong was I? Lovin how cute n quirky they are and they are fab for popping on under denim which is another thing I tend to stay away from as find jeans boring. Great that this one could also pass as a swimsuit too so perfect summer layering outfit!

The rainbow print is tooo cute! Have teamed it up with my smiley toe socks (sooo ancient and 2003 but i still adore mine!)  and fast food charm bracelet from Claires which really reminds me of the This is how we do video so I kinda built my outfit around that as its such a fun music video and song!

I bought the denim skirt with it too as this is also something I would never usually bought - but I love it! Button front skirts are everywhere right now and this little beauty is a steal at £15. Topshops one are pretty much same as quality-wise but at least double the price. Great if you wanna get in on the trend but don't fancy splashing out £££.

Culottes

Striped Crepe Culottes // Primark
Red Wrap Around Top // Jane Norman
Red Patent Tie Front Heels // M&S
Red Hair Flower // Claires Accessories

I dared myself to pick up these culottes after seeing them in my local Primark store, I loved the look of them on the posters for Primark SS15 and decided I was gonna bite the bullet and get them, despite the whole short legs = no culottes thing!

Having had disaster after disaster with other below the knee things such as midi skirts and sporty playsuits making me look even shorter I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these on, they are made of a crepe material which not only make them feel really expensive (these look and feel more like Zara or Mango quality yet were only £17!) and even when worn without heels look pretty cool! yay! :)

My only critique is that If they were horizontal stripes it would prob be even better for the whole height thing but I really like these and this super cool nautical feel they have to them - a great option for something to wear for work that's different!

Día de Muertos

Mine and Toria's pumpkins!

Day of the dead skull cookies

Tortilla's ,skull meringues & orange kitty cat jelly sweets!

Toria's Spider web cake

Day of the Dead Face Transfers // Claire's Accessories
Red Rose Hair Clips // Claire's Accessories
Black Leather Split Maxi // Pretty Little Thing
Pentagram Choker // Missguided
90's Choker // Ebay

A little late posting but its been a crazy busy weekend, this is kinda instead of my usual monthly edit as haven't taken many photo's of other things this month apart from halloween so I mixed this in with the halloween party and sorta an outfit post.

This was my outfit for the Halloween weekend, As we had the 1st and 2nd November in the weekend to it seemed pretty appropriate to go for a proper Day of the Dead theme as it falls across this Mexican celebration perfectly!.

I hosted the party so this year I wanted something I could create that was quick, easy but still effective. Claire's Accessories came to my rescue with these amazing face stickers! The only parts I did do myself was the lipstick, mouth stitches and black eyes. It was a three for two event so I also picked up some clip on feather earrings which are surprisingly comfortable to wear and and these pretty red rose hair clips :)

If you haven't noticed already, I have a major fetish for wearing leather/PU or vinyl clothes, particularly in black at the mo and am loving Pretty Little Thing's New in section which full of amazing things right now. I found this leather side split maxi dress on there and thought I'd try it out and haven't stopped wearing it since it came!

Its super flattering cus its so clingy and as it has a side split it flows out at the bottom, almost making it look abit like a fish tail style dress.

If  your looking to try this A/W's leather trend then Pretty Little Thing is definitely my recommended place to look!
