Was 27 Surviving My Return To Saturn

Gold Coin Headband // Primark
Gold Septum Ring // Ebay
Suede Wicker Heeled Sandals // New Look

You know when you fall in love with something instantly online to the point where you think about it constantly until you have added it to your basket and hit the complete checkout button? That was one of these moments.. but just look at this dress though!! <3

I have bought several fringed things lately but this is the first dip dyed fringing I have seen. Its totally unlike any other dress I've bought and I really like how its got both 1920's flapper dress feels and boho 1970's.

One word of warning though.. the fringing is looped which is great for the top half...not so great on the bottom.. particularly when it is windy as I found taking these pics, the loops caught on everything I walked past and had a particular fascination with my shoe straps and catching on them so by the time I walked back home 20 mins later the back part was in a huge tangle! :( Thankfully after an hour of delicately de-tangling, I did manage to free it all up at the back again though I will cut the looped parts now so that they no longer snag on everything they touch.

Scary wardrobe malfunction aside, I am def wearing this for my birthday next week to go to Camden in! :) Hello 27! :) has been abit of a crappy last few years for me so am hoping to finally get things moving and start enjoying life even more and ceasing more opportunities that come my way, travel more and learn to trust people more again. Definitely is starting to feel that a fresh start just around the corner & good things are coming my way at last. Never give up trying and never let anyone try to pull you down.

Pretty In Pink..

Pink Cleated Sandals // Ebay

Back to shooting on the street again, yay! feels like its been an age since I've gone out and about and done a shoot without staying close to my flat or work.

I really wanted to get a shot with a blossom tree to go with this pretty pink tile print playsuit from Missguided but kept finding ones that had either been abit windswept or finding a really nice one only for the owner of the house to turn up at the very moment wondering what I'm doing lol! so thats why is no consistent shots of a particular tree, I had to keep walking around!

Think this is my first playsuit I've picked up so far this year, tbh, I wasnt sure about it when it came as it felt almost too pink and I wasnt sure it suited me but think I will keep it now to wear this summer as alot of my 70s style stuff I've bought has all been very brown and yellow which is darkening my wardrobe abit but brightening it up a little at the same time with all these crazy 70s patterns!

I really like the bell sleeved and the lacey plunge neck though as this ones far more of a loose fit that many of my other plunge neck stuff am gonna need abit more tit tape for when I next wear it out..had a couple of near boob escapage moments! lol!

Eclipse

Acid Wash Denim Rucksack // Primark
Grey Fluffy Long Cardi // Primark
Bag Fluffy PomPom // River Island
Metallic Silver Sneakers // New Look
Moon Choker // Freedom @ Topshop
Capped Beanie // Reeeeeeeeeallly Old, Ebay

If you're wondering if I shot these during the eclipse earlier today sadly the answer is no. Even if I had, it would have been pretty lame anyway as where I live in the south, we ended up only getting loads of clouds which covered the whole thing. boooooo. ah well! just another 10 years or so till the next one! lol! Just thought eclipse for a name of an equinox blog post (yay spring today!) was something cool n different as have used equinox before!

This is one of my fave outfits at the mo, am having so much fun styling it up with different shoes and knee high knit socks, its easy to go from 70's style with it to this more laid back 90's look.

I was obsessing over Topshop 70's style range, literally wanting everything in it but can't afford it so I picked out this dress, knowing that pinny dresses always look effortlessly cool and are great for day wear. sometimes I'm in the mood to wear a dress but not wanting the girly vibe with it, this is perfect for those tomboy days!

The colour although describes on the site as mustard is def more of a mustard brown than a yellow even though my pics look yellow and topshop says the same thing. I actually prefer hat its more of a brown though. The zipper and cut of the dress give it a really cool 60s/70s vibe and its got cute little pockets for putting stuff in yay! so hard to find girls clothes (that aren't jeans) that have pockets in.

Lastly, I finally bought a denim rucksack! being more of a bag lady than a shoe one I have been reeeally wanting one the last couple of summers but never getting round to actually buying one then having regrets later. As soon as I saw these pop up in Primark I snapped it up (only £10!)  I should def make a bag wish list.. am always lusting over new bags!

Retrograde

Rainbow Pyrite Cord Crystal Necklace // Urban Outfitters (online exclusive)
Rainbow Crystal Cord Necklace // Urban Outfitters
Feather Temporary Tattoo // Joelles Emporium - Etsy
Brown Leather Tassel Satchel // Boohoo
Black Fedora // Asos
Lips // Topshop Beauty - Drive

Although I'm not going to LFW this week and hanging out with the fashion elite:( (boooo) I'm back with my outside yard wall and feelin like a rock star in these uhmazin Skinny Flare bell bottoms from Rokoko! There's something about weird about flares and how they make u feel like a 70's rock star - all I know is I love them and will be wearing these till they fall apart, will def be buying more!

The only downside is rain: flares + rain don't mix so will be taking care to make sure these only go out on dry weather days unless I wanna absorb all the rainwater on the pavement. Can remember my old skatery grungey jeans doing the same and they got wrecked!

I've done a fair bit of new accessory buying recently as well and looking for loads more new jewelery brands as my old necklaces are looking really tired. I popped in to Urban Outfitters a couple of weeks back and bought these two crystal necklaces which for me are really different to my usual style as I am heavily in to my chokers but thought these would be nice for layering to create more boho style looks. think I might start collecting more crystal necklaces, feel like I'm starting to dress more like my teenage self - which to me is a good thing cus I was much more creative then with layering and trying out new things - so many people get in to their 20's and then do nothing but either wear black or wear head-to-toe Superdry!! (not that I dislike Superdry, Some of their stuff is actually really nice!)

If you're looking for some cool new boho stylee things I'd def recommend checking out Rokoko & Urban Outfitters - not to mention Boohoos lastest drop is full of all things tassley and suedey too!

Spring 15 Edit - Lust List

This month is without a doubt the worst & longest wait for payday, am now at the point where I'm having to come up with creative dinner ideas from whatever is in the cupboards, although it is the easiest month to make a wishlist as once the sales have started to dwindle, boom! in comes all this pretty spring stuff & this year its all about 70's 70's 70's!

Topshop never let us down when it comes to any vintage style trends and again they do not disappoint. It has the most dreamiest collection of pinafores, smock dresses and boots which I can't wait to try and see if I can get my hands on when its payday, guarantee these will sell out fast! Here are my best picks of Spring and what's new online & in stores at the mo!

Clockwise from Top:

Black Lace-Up Front Playsuit - Pretty Little Thing
Brown Paisley Playsuit - Pretty Little Thing

Stripes are also back though this year with more colour,  the monochrome colour block style stripes that have dominated the fashion world for the last few SS season are now  taking a step back and making way for these colourful deck chair, seasidey kinda stripes for a cool spring look. Monochrome stripes are still about though for those of you who who are not fans of colours!

I have had Gypsy Warrior on my radar or some time now but think I def need to make my first purchase with the Rose Nightfall dress! Think mesh dresses are gonna be a great layering staple piece for me this spring whilst we wait for the temperatures to climb! Hurryyy Upppp Summer!

Sales Pick #2 Paisley Brocade Shift Dress

Brocade Paisley Shift Dress // Topshop
Leopard Print Furry T-Bar Shoes // Topshop

Another amazing print from the sales is this Brocade shift dress with its big nod to up and coming 60's/70s tend which is set to be huge this season. I'm amazed this is in the sale as I'm pretty sure is was one of the dresses that was worn by Cara D in the TopShop A/W party wear campaign and it was my fave piece from the whole campaign!

The print is gorgeous, very Nans old wallpaper from the 70's but that's what I really like about it, its really retro! Feel like I've come out of a time warp!

Brocade Dress - Was £65 - Now £20

P.S Speaking of Cara and her most recent TopShop colabs, her 2015 new season video is now live! Take a peek here and start writing your Topshop SS15 wish list now!

OOTD: Floral Chain Cami, Jeggings & Wicker Heeled Sandals

Green Floral Chain Camisole - Primark
Blue Jeggings - Primark
Green & Gold Gem Cuff - Primark
Wicker Heeled Brown Suede Sandals - New Look

Today, I've opted for a more casual look compared to my usual crazy stuff! I spent my lunchbreak scouting around for a new shoot place, I kinda had a street style shoot in my head for this one but when you work in a village where there is just one main road, you can't really shoot on the street unless you want to get run over by a tractor!

I went on abit of a crazy adventure instead and found a woodlandy walk behind the village hall and got these wicker sandals a little bit more than muddy...oops. Getting the mud out of them later should be an interesting task!

Everything but the sandals in this outfit is from my bank holiday Primark haul. I picked up the jeggings as I often find jeans just too uncomfortable to sit in all day so the leggings/jeans cross trousers such as these with an elasticky waist band are a hero buy I have for comfy days.

These chain camisole tops have been really popular in our Primark, and since the start of the season they have started to feature different coloured versions or patterned ones such as this floral number.

I figure this pattern won't be everyone's cup of tea as it does look very much like your nan's curtains from 1970 or something but I kinda like it! That and the green and gold from the chain detail just look gorgeous together.
