Yee Haa Gold Glitter Heart Bag // Skinny Dip London (sold out, similar here)
Iridescent Sequin Crop Top // Boohoo
Metallic Jeans // Topshop
White Slogan Print Flatforms // Choies

Hey guys!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas,

Mine was pretty quiet tbh. I've been so badly needing the time off so I've been making the most of the break from social media as well and just spending time away from my phone and things which has been nice. I got up earlish this morning to head out to the seafront and make the most of it whilst its still quiet in the mornings - not long till all the New years resolution people start jogging up n down it haha!

I am SO looking forward to New Years though, I don't usually celebrate NYE but this year has been so unbelievably crap in every way I am actually hoping to enjoy it and celebrate it out instead of just cosying up in front of the box and trying to stay awake till midnight!

This jacket will def be part of my NYE outfit! Shes The Bottle Blonde planted themselves firmly on my radar after seeing the incredible Confetti Crowd wearing their amazing garms over the summer festivals.

This is a one off vintage up-cycled piece I got from The Clothes Show earlier this month so I'm afraid it isn't on the website but they do have TONS of amazing NYE outfits to choose from if glitter, tinsel and psychedelic funkyness is also your thing!

Hit up the Asos Marketplace shop for the whole collection :)

Happy New Years! :)

Silver Screen

Obsessed with all things satin these season!

Festive, fashion forward and there is something about satin that makes you feel like a goddess...even in the rain!

Silver Satin Wrap Round Dress // Rare London - now £20!
Zebra Print Crinkle Top // Topshop - Similar here
Silver Boots // Primark

Finally starting to feel more festive at last! Tree is up, christmas food is piled high in the kitchen and  I have less than a week left of work this year!

This was my London work dooo party dress I wore a couple of weekends ago (hence its very crumpled, bedraggled state.. sorry!) I did promise to myself I would NOT under any circumstances buy yet another party dress but I decided to get this amazing satin metallic one after seeing all of the amazing satin style jumpsuits and dresses around at the moment.

I really like this one as it has 90s spaghetti style straps which give it more of a dressed down look, perfect for layering for sorta casual looks like I have with my Zebra top here or maybe even over jeans. It definitely has a more than one wear thing about it and its not one just to be worn to formal events unless you dress it up that way so although it did mean buying another dress it is one at least I know will be worn time and time again!

Hope you all have a great Christmas! :) Happy Holidays!

Planet Vandy

Finally got my first Alice Vandy Dress!  Pink, kawaii and Hello Kitty = instant wardrobe keeper.

Hello Kitty Maxi Dress // Planet Vandy (Alice Vandy)
Silver Boots // Primark

After a lonngg time lusting over Alice Vandy's super cute prints I finally got myself something from the Planet Vandy store! yay!

During my visit to the Clothes Show last week there were two stalls in particular I couldn't wait to visit, one being Alice Vandys! It was great to meet her and try on a couple of things. I could of definitely stayed longer and bought more but my wallet was telling me to be sensible as I still haven't even got started on Christmas shopping yet! eppp. That will be my weekend plans this weekend as the start of December has been busy busy busy.

Loving all things japanese and cute , I had to go for the Hello Kitty Dress and picked the maxi over the mini. I thought at first I'd regret my choice as it is longer and does trail (short girl issues) the material of the dress actually can be folder upwards from the waist really easily as I've done in these photos and the dress then stays off the ground! result!

It is easily THE most flattering dress in my wardrobe, its super clingy and really figure hugging yet unlike other bodycons I've tried on since being north of 25 it doesn't feel uncomfortable or that it emphasises my food baby or make me feel huge on a fat day! :)

Looking forward to getting other Alice Vandy stuff now, her unitards have always looked great as well so perhaps one of these will be on my hitlist next!

Christmas Party Make up at The Gypsy Shrine!

Missed out on festival glitter looks over the summer? well, you're in luck as The Gyspy Shrine is back for Christmas party looks that promise glitter, gems and sparkles galore.

Its been another busy weekend for me for the start of December as this week I headed to London for a Christmas party!

Not content with goin for just an LBD and contouring my face, I decided to once again go for a new look. I'm not much of a party animal so its a once a year thing that I get to have a night out so its an opportunity not to be wasted! I always like to theme my party looks each year and create something unique and fun that will last whilst I'm on the dance floor

This year, I spotted that festival make up faves The Gypsy Shrine were doing pop ups in Topshop Oxford Circus, happening to be on the dates I was in the capital - yes!

So this year I went for a high shine metallics look with a glitter make over with The Gypsy Shrine. It was the perfect match for my metallic dress I wore!

For £10 you can go for a glitter look of your choice or if you want gems as well it will cost around £20. I went for the £20 option as wanted to go for something elaborate as well as treat myself!

Before you go, I'd recommend doing your foundation base as this is not applied for you, the girls do glitter make up only :) I then finished off the look with a slick of mascara, white eyeliner and lippy :)

You can choose from a mix and match of glitters and colours to go with whatever style or look you are looking for, I went for a mix of silvers, blues and a couple of pink, purple and silver gem with a mix of fine and chunky glitter.

The girls were lovely and started working their magic with the glitters, they were really good at understanding what look it was I was after and were finished in just under 10 mins or so!

It would of easily taken me over 40 mins to an hour to achieve this look on my own (and would be no where near as good as these girls can do it, these are festival and party make up pros!)

Here's the finished look!

My glitter stayed put and didn't budge all night. Compared to the usual self adhesive gem ones I have bought that seem to barely last me a day I think I will def try these again as the adhesive mixture holds the glitter and gems in place so much better. I didn't lose any of my gems and the glitter lasted all night.

I was so sad to take it off!

Wanna Find the Shrine?

The Gyspy Shrine pop up is not a permanent feature in Topshop so if you want to get glittered up for your party you will need to get there sharpish! It is a drop in service so there is no need to book an appointment, we were there mid Saturday afternoon and it was quiet so we were seen to straight away, however I imagine it will be busier just after 5pm, earlier in the morning or on New Years as they will be back during the day for NYE glitter looks!

They are in Topshop Oxofrd Circus London every Thurs, Friday and Saturday until the 17th Dec and during the day of the 30th.

So get down there this week if you can for your party make up!

The Clothes Show 2016

Blogger meets, catwalks, fashion and beauty nerds a plenty.. gotta be time for the Clothes Show!

Afternoon Lovelies!

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

I treated myself to a trip The Clothes Show in Birmingham after having an amazing time at the show in 2014 and again this year didn't disappoint!

This year was its last year in Birmingham after a 29 year run so as soon as I heard this I got booking my ticket straight away. I have mixed feelings about its future as its moving to Liverpool and will be back on next summer under the new guise of British Style Collective.

Mainly mixed feels as this means obvs its a proper mission to get there for me (is already a 3 and a half hour journey to Birmingham if trains are good)  but Liverpool is sooo far! Maybe will check it out in another couple of years and will see how it goes.

Anywayy! back to this show, They def saw out its Birmingham run with a bang, the main fashion theatre harped back to late 80s style as well as showed loads of upcoming artists on the music scene for 2017 and spectacular dancing and modelling from over 40 top international models and dancers.

Mark Heyes (aka that guy who does the fashion bit on Lorraine also did a fab catwalk showing this seasons trends including Maximalism, Gothic Glamour & Gold Metallics from Boohoo, Miss Selfridge, River Island & Topshop

Once I paid my visit to the Fashion Theatre I headed out to the stalls for some well earned retail therapy :) the set up was similar to 2015 when I first visited with a huge beauty hall, smaller catwalks, the boutiques and markets (my fave!) and some well known brands such as Tu Sainsburys also had pop ups!

My no. 1 stalls to visit were Alice Vandy (been a huge fan of her cute My Little Pony & Hello Kitty designs for quite some time!) and She's the Bottle Blonde who landed on my radar earlier this summer after seeing their incredible festival garms such as the tinsel jacket below. Perfect as well for the Christmas season!

oh, hello jacket of dreams! (inserts heart eyes emoji)

adorableee!!

I was also lucky enough to bump in to blogger and super make up mermaiden Sophie Hannah Richardson, I was gutted that I missed her meet and greet as it collided with my fashion theatre time slot but it turned up to be even better as I spoke to her whilst she was working with Mark Hill on their stand and she invited me to watch her film a Facebook Live stream of her creating bubble braids!

If you have even watched this girl do hair and make up you will know she is insanely talented and soo good at it, she created the bubble braid look in minutes! I am def gonna try the look at home :) subscribe to her Youtube or Instagram to see more!

Wish I wasn't so bunged up with sinusitis and spotty otherwise it would of been a nice pic haha! those fancy lighting things Youtubers use is so bright it shows up all your skin flaws if you have any haha!

Lastly after catching up on a late lunch and to put all my shopping bags down for five mins, I headed to the Olympus Pen theatre and the Discover Catwalk to watch blogger Sarah Ashcroft on her top Missguided picks

I had an amazing time again this year and can't wait to show you my lil haul over the next couple of weeks! I'll hopefully be able to catch up on my outfit posts abit as lifes been crazy busy and I've not been very well this week. :(

If your interested in popping down to the new show in Liverpool tickets are already on sale and you can get them here

Love, Sarah
