Black Velvet & Florals

Think floral's are for Summer? Think again! PLT have got the embroidery trend nailed with this velvet floral wonder.

Black Velvet Floral Jumpsuit // Pretty Little Thing
Black Studded Boots // Pretty Little Thing (old)
Black Floral Cross Body Bag // Primark
Black Suede Baker Boy Hat // Next (verrryyyy old!)

Firstly, Happy New Year! :)

I know it's cliche to keep going on on one about "new year, new me" stuff so I'll spare you of that! I do love a new year start feeling though as although you can obvs change and start a-fresh anytime of year it's still a great feeling to move in to a new year with a clean(ish) slate and feeling positive for new things and excitement of what this year may bring.

For me and the boy, its clear we are at a point in our lives that we are now desperate to get things moving and start a new chapter so we are hoping 2017 brings that for us and gets on on the road to owning our own home! Gotta take the rough with the smooth though which may mean a year of saving and holding back this year but it will be worth it in the long run.

One thing that has no signs of changing is the embroidery trend which I posted about way back in June last year. I have adored this trend and it looks like its not going anywhere just yet which makes it even more of a good reason to shop this one!

This jumpsuit is from my faves Pretty Little Thing. They absolutely slayed Christmas and NYE wear to the point that if I had the time of would of done a separate wishlist on their collections as they were fab!

I don't often opt for unitards or jumpsuits but couldn't resist this one due to its pretty wintery floral embroidery. Oh, did I mention its also velvet too! 😍

Here's a couple of my fave embroidery picks out there at the mo. From jackets, jumpsuits to sweaters this trend will be on everything, just shop around and check out some of the designs out there!

Personally am in love with the River Island jacket below! I'm gonna need a room just for cute jackets at the rate I'm buying them right now! Check out my pinterest to see what else I'm pinning on this trend!

Jazz up your winter wardrobe with Embroidery!

Hyper Romance

Disney Princess dreams are reality in this incredible dress from Asos Salon

3D Floral Embellished Midi Dress // Asos Salon
Floral Sequin Hair Clips // Topshop

OMG

This dress though <3
Totally the dress of dreams!
Asos, take a bow!

I first saw this one when the Asos magazine landed through my door back in Jan/Feb and it had me visiting the site daily till it finally arrived in stock a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping to take it to Monaco with me but it didn't pop up on the site till after I got back! It was well worth the wait though!

The only thing I didn't realise was that the slip underneath is actually a silky playsuit, so you actually get two outfits in one! :D You may also note, its even got pockets, yay!

Sorry for the awful pics, the weather here has been dire recently so I haven't been able to go out and shoot stuff so you'll have to put up with seeing my very untidy & cluttered bedroom in the meantime! I kinda like  being a blogger that doesn't photoshop the crap out of everything or has everything looking perfect. Although I know its not magazine worthy I think its important in spesh in these internet times where young people feel more insecure than ever that we see some reality and see things that are relatable. :)

I think if I felt I'd have to get everything instagram perfect for every photo I took I'd go crazy!

Till next time, praying the sun gods make an appearance,

Love, Sarah

The Two Primark Day Dresses you NEED in your wardrobe...

Looking for day dresses for your summer work wardrobe? Primark's got you covered

Pink Floral off-Shoulder Floral Dress // Primark

Blue Floral Wrap Around Tea Dress // Primark
Bon Voyage Suitcase Bag // Accesorize

I am back in Primark for the SS16 range because, boy, its damn good!

I told myself at the start of the month I could treat myself to one new dress for the office but I couldn't resist buying both of these cute tea dresses though as they are such bargains!

Both wouldn't look out of place in either Oasis and Dorothy Perkin's but at a fraction of the price as they are both just £13 each.

I can't decide which I like best but love how floaty and feminine they feel. The pink off shoulder dress is so on trend with its off shoulder sleeves and lovely pink blush colour. The blue wrap round has a lovely ruffle style hem and fits like a glove unlike many other wrap round dresses I've tried in the past.

Both are gorgeous matched with a pair of nude or tan heels and then for weekend wear perhaps matching up with a cute clutch bag :)

 Thank you Primark! :)

Botanical

My Monaco Gran Prix botanical show-stopper. Kudos to Asos for this gem!

Firstly sorry for my resting bitch face in these! I had planned to shoot these on the Carpet Gardens on the seafront but then discovered a huge beer tent for the bank holiday had been put up on it! :)

So I went exploring for a new destination and thought I had found the perfect new place - quiet close off a nice area, pretty gardens ect... so far so good.

Turns out I had to use 2 of of my Get Out Of Jail Free Cards within 15 mins after an old Daily Mail reading* old bat came out and had a go at me for standing on a pathway near her property which didn't look like it was hers as it looked like a pathway out of the close! Que a very speedy walk away from her while she continued ranting!

Second one was nicer though but was the first time I've fished out the ummm yeah don't mind me I'm a fashion student!** excuse. :)

Anywayyy!!

A last minute impulse but omg-must-have moment hit me when I saw this dress land on Asos last week. It was exactly what I was looking for to wear for the Monaco GP practice session we attended on Thursday. Can't do Monaco without going a little glam right?

Riviera Suitcase Bag // Accessorize - Now £22!
Brown Wooden Heel Sandals // Topshop
Sunglasses // Guess

This dress just ticked all the boxes with its off shoulder floral ruffles, all over print and a sexy thigh high split. As usual when it arrived the day before we caught our flight, I ended up taking quite a lot off the bottom to make it even remotely wearable. Its ment to be long anyway but it looked ridiculous with my short legs so out came the scissors!

I cut off more than I ment to I think, but I kinda like the length now, I can also wear it with flats and it doesn't feel like it's trailing behind me. In to the suitcase it went and I felt like a goddess at the GP circuit in it.

A very tired one though as it was our last day. Thank god for sunglasses for hiding tired eyes!

* A newspaper designed for the baby boomer generation in the UK. Preaches that young people are evil and will steal your money and handbag and a moments notice. Cancer is caused by anything and everything ranging from mobile phones, bacon, being male, being female, artificial light, broccoli... the full list is here. This contradicts itself on rotation, telling you the opposite by the next week.

And lastly, if its a story containing any human in it, be it a celebrity, victim of crime, criminal, whatever it ALWAYS has to say how much their property value is, even if its totally unrelated to the story!

Free People

Floaty, Ruffles and Floral? This Free People Dress ticks all the new season trend boxes and more!

Purple Flower Ruffle Halter Dress // Free People - was £78 now £45!
Black Thigh High Boots // Sole Affair

I am no stranger to Free People Clothing having also got my wedding dress from their gorgeous boho wedding collection last year. They make such exquisite pieces, I just wish they were a tiney bit more affordable, I would love to have a wardrobe of all things from Free People!

Thankfully, Asos have also been stocking a few designs and I stumbled across this dress in their last season sale for under half price! Thinking this would be perfect for my mini break to the French Riviera in a few weeks time I snapped it up :) soo can't wait to get away!

By the time I'm over in France though in May I will hopefully be in my sandals catching some rays, having cast my thigh highs to the back of my wardrobe till later in the year! :)

Garden Party

Ideal for the upcoming wedding guest season, botanical and floral prints are blooming gorgeous!

Botanical Print Cage Dress // Topshop
Mint Block Heel Sandals // Dorothy Perkins
Blue Hexagon Chain Bag // H&M

I am loving all the new floral prints this season, there is something kinda special about them this year - gone are the ditsy prints and bold large clashing florals we had last year - this year the designs are much prettier, artsy and just stunning. Literally like a backdrop for an English garden party!

I'll admit first though, this dress is not new, its actually a dress I bought for a wedding I went to a few years back but it remains one of my faves due to the unique botanical print and the caged design of the skirt. It's definitely not a dress you can pop in a suitcase and take away with you anywhere due to the hoop that makes the structure of the skirt!

It was one of the rarer Topshop finds but one I remember adding it to my basket like lightning knowing that this was a dress I would definitely keep for occasions as its so unique.

Want to shop the trend? Here's some of my fave botanical style prints below. My eyes are on the Oasis and River Island ones...may also end up getting these! *heart eyes emoji*
