Cry Baby

Sporting a new raglan baseball style sleeved tee today, (can never have enough of these!)

Cry Babies Cropped Raglan Top // P&Co
Meow Choker // Forever 21
Mom Jeans // Stradivarius
Fishnets // Primark
Silver Conversey Plimsoles // Primark

Sorry for the random break! I sorta disappeared off all social things over Easter and in to the following week too. Oops.

That said, it was nice to take the time away and think about new posts without stressing. I've just chilled out and allowed myself the break. which is totally cool especially if you also work at the same time as finding time to blog is a bitch as it is, spesh when April for the last two weeks has been abit on the cold side, even snowy.. pretty uninspiring for doing spring fashion shoots!

To get my blogging mojo back, I decided to try and stop trawling through all the new in summery stuff thats been to cold to wear lately and looked up a cool new brand to obsess over instead - that being P&Co who make awesome tops such as the baseball style one I'm wearing here.

You can never go wrong with a raglan tee, spesh one with cool backprints such as these, I may be tempted to wear back-to-front as well as I love the back print on this Cry Babies One! They have recently restocked these so head up to their website to get your raglan tee fix,

Fresh

New Season, New hair! January isn't the only time you can make a big change and freshen up your look! :)

Red Check Deconstructed Skirt // Asos
Sandals // Topshop
Hair by Beehive Hair & Beauty Salon, Eastbourne

At long freekin last I got my hair did. See ya later brunetteness, never liked you much anyway.

And hello strawberry blonde! It was a hugely lengthy process to get you but so worth it as we can now experiment with colours and things. That said I'm liking the strawb blonde already, it makes such a difference to my outfits and really helps to bring out the colour in them as I like to wear alot of colour. I am soo looking forward to experimenting with it as well as trying out new outfits and ideas that simply wouldn't of worked before :)

Remember what I always say about denim too? I still am a firm believer that denim looks a million miles better on blondes so naturally I treated myself to my first denim jacket. My favourite denim is always fairly vintage looking, worn in and distressed so my criteria was met when I scouted this Forever 21 jacket online.

Its a tiny bit too big but guess this will work better for layering when it gets later in the season or now even on chillier days.

I've matched it up here to another gingham style pretty from Asos. Although it very much resembles a tea towel it does still make me feel super springy and was a fab choice for the first day of the year to get the legs out (with nude tights of course) I love the deconstructed hem and the frill top part of this skirt! deffo a new skirt fave for me!  :)

Uniform

Transeasonal weather calls for some back to basic styling, this is my current go to outfit

Pink Tie Dye Hoodie // Forever 21
Vintage Fit Mom Jeans // Stradivarius
Mermaid Scale Sneakers // Dolls Kill

With the weather being all sorts of random at the mo, my fave outfit at the mo are jeans and a hoody!

I've literally lived in this hoody and jeans combo the last couple of weeks whilst we are sorting the flat out and moving things around. Kinda like my basics uniform for the weekend!

I found these jeans in Stradivarius in London the other week, finally a new vintagey looking pair to replace my much loved Missguided ones that are now far too tight for me. Its taken me a while to find a pair I like but finally got these!

Don't think I'll ever go back to skinny jeans now. I tend to wear jeans only when I'm feelin very tomboyish or during winter and spring so skinnys for me feel way to uncomfortable! I like my comfort over too tight clothes!

With a nod to this new season though, I've teamed up my hoodie with a corset belt. Whatever your thoughts on on this bizarre trend, I actually quite like it!

Not sure I liked the "Touch" music video for Little Mix's Perrie Edwards version of this look though think I would of like it if it was a more contrasting colour to the hoody she was wearing as the flesh coloured one didn't look to great in my opinion. I think a black one like this would of gone better!

What do you think of the corset/sweater trend?

Beachy Duster

This white lace duster is perfect for beach cover ups and festivals :)

White Lace Duster // Forever 21 (similar here
Snake Print Shorts // Topshop
White Boyfriend Vesty Tee // Pretty Little Thing

I ment to shoot this one agges ago but never got round to it so I took some pics whilst out yesterday eve on the beach!

I bought this lacey duster on a whim back in February whilst shopping around during LFW. I have had to cut ALOT of the bottom (short girl issues) as it was wayyy to long so its now wearable!

I didn't wear it much in the spring but have dug it out now as its actually a really nice cover up for the beach or possibly festival wearing!

The shorts are ollldd but i have noticed that snake print is making abit of a come back lately so i have also dug these out. they are just about the only shorts that I have left that fit me! *sob* as I have expanded quite alot in the butt department over the last year or so that why these now look like micro hot pants - I can assure you they weren't 4-5 years ago when I bought them! I'm kinda embracing my new curves now though. Just means I may need to go shopping for some new shorts which is never a bad thing!

Monochrome Palazzo

Put those leggings to the back of your closet and get summer loving with Palazzo pants!

Monochrome Boho Print Palazzo Pants  // Primark
White Chiffon Off-Shoulder Top // Forever 21
Dream Catcher Choker // New Look
Sandals // Primark

A good comfy pair of summer trousers are a must have for any wardrobe. I got hot pretty easy so on days where I don't fancy being dressy palazzo pants are a godsend.

This is my first pair I've bought in a little while as my floral ones from about 2012 are still going strong though are super long and need to be worn with heels. These fab ones from Primark are actually designed for flat sandals so even more comfort - yay!

I particularly like the tie up flared side panel bits that give them a real boho edge. When I actually spotted these in the window of Primark I initially assumed it was a long skirt with a tied up waist but then on my next visit and on closer inspection realised they were actually palazzo trousers so I picked them up!

They are so good for relaxing summer days that you always think your in PJs I did have to look down this morning to make sure I definately wasn't about to go our the door in my jammies!

Not a fan of white? They also come in a reverse black with a white boho print too!

New Romantics

Floaty chiffon? Off shoulder? This is The New Romantics trend!

Flared Jeans // Glamorous (now just £14!)
Daisy Chain Choker // Select
Silver Coin Chain Belt // Boohoo

My favourite trend for this season is the new romantics, with the main theme being floaty fabric and off shoulder tops which are definitely having a moment right now - they are everywhere!

I'm really pleased this style has made such a huge comeback as it is so flattering on everyone and is a subtle way to flash abit of skin adding a new twist to an evening outfit and tbh I was getting abit bored of crop tops! Crop tops don't work well when you have the need to eat carbs all the time! :) haha!

This one caught my eye whilst shopping in Forever 21 during LFW and I just fell in love straight away! I haven't been able to find it on their site I'm afraid so it may have sold out? Its part of their contemporary collection.

The off shoulder top is a great look for upcoming festival looks as well, check out my fave picks below!

Burberry-esk Cape & Birmingham Christmas Market

     Colour Block Cape // SheLikes
Black Polo Neck Top // Primark
Black Suede Fringed Shorts // Primark
Studded Boots // Pretty Little Thing
Thigh High Socks // Forever 21
     Wide Brim Fedora // Asos

Hotel - Hampton Hilton Birmingham North

I'm back from Birmingham after a super busy long weekend! I went to the Clothes Show on the Saturday as you saw in my last post and the day before I went Christmas shopping around the Bull Ring and the Christmas Markets and had a lovely Bratwurst for Brekkie (yeh i took a bite out of the end before takin the pic- not good at the takin pics of food malarky!!) lol

Capes seem to be everywhere this A/W and I really wanted to give them a go after seeing them on the Burberry Catwalk on Cara D and love how many different ways you can wear them. I found this lookey likey Burberry colour block one on SheLikes.com.. Its super snuggley and can be worn just draped over shoulders or belted as I have done here. Think I will also add my initials on there if I can find some iron on patches or something just to give it even more of a Cara D Burberry feel :)
