Chasing the Sun

Not feelin ready to let Summer go just yet...

Rainbow Maxi Prom Dress // Charity Shop

Still not over the fact I got THIS DRESS from a charity shop earlier this week! After spotting it in the window of Help the Aged, Hayward's Heath, last Friday I was completely in love.

Luckily it waited for me as I saw it was still there on my walk to work after the weekend and just went straight in and bought it without trying it on or anything, thankfully it fits perfectly and I loveeee it!

I wore it out to the Eastbourne Steampunk Festival today (not really going with the theme, but hey ho)  There was a bloke with a crossbow and a lady with a frog on her head, pugs in top hats etc so I thought well why can't I then go along in my rainbow dress for today as everyone's super dressed up? So I did! :)

I've been going to the festival the last couple of years, though last year it was abit of a let down (weather wise) whereas it was really nice out yesterday so you could stroll around the stalls, watch the bands and belly dancers in the sunny sun sun. If your about in the area I'd def recommend you go to check it out!

Oriental Florals

**Sponsored post** I review Yoins for AW style and autumn wedding guest outfits!

Navy Floral Print Maxi // Yoins**
Grey Thigh High Boots // Primark

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Mine was pretty chilled and involved me and the boy having curry nite, going stationary shopping for Uni, cat sitting and cleaning! rock n roll! :)

I did manage to sneak in some time to visit one of my fave parks in Eastbourne though to shoot this stunning dress from Yoins before it rained! I couldn't resist shooting in front of the Hermitage building though I suppose the design of the building looks poss more Morrocan/Indian than chinese!

I adore the print on this dress, its really elegant and totally ideal for wearing to a autumn/winter wedding (If I had one to attend!) This dress was just £16 from Yoins website.

Not only is everything from Yoins totally wallet friendly and on trend, you can also pre-order new season garms ready for the new seasons as they approach!

The earlier you preorder you can also save moneys as you can get 50% off from the countdown to shipping on new release stuff, hurry though as the discount doesn't stay at 50% for long! I really like this feature.

New season at Yoins is full of pretty boho florals, off shoulder (yep that trend is sticking around for AW16 too!)  and my personal fave, sleeved maxi dresses - a must have for any fall wardrobe.

Here's my current wishlist all from Yoins, my favourite is the blue fluted sleeve mini dress. Great for workwear, the weekend or as wedding guest attire!

Whats you're favourite from my Yoins wish list?

Love Sarah x

Fallen Leaves & Autumn Dreams..

Another Free People boho delight with this b-e-autiful maxi and embroidered boots

Lila Maroon Sheer Boho Dress // Free People - now £48!
Feather Waistcoat // Collection by Topshop - Sold out
Embroidered Heeled Ankle Boots // Daisy Street - almost sold out!
Front Tie Up Choker // Topshop

I love autumn.

It really brings out my sense for adventure and love for being outdoors. Even more so than Summer I'd say! Crunchy leaves, jumpers with super long sleeves and wearing ankle boots are some of the top things on my list.

Although its been really hot here in the UK, I couldn't resist donning a couple of autumn buys I've bought in pre-season sales recently and heading out in to the woods.

As you may well know, Free People is one of my fave brands ever - having worn a Free People Wedding dress at my wedding and I also got this pretty spring dress earlier this year, I felt it was time to add a maxi dress in that I could wear for autumn in my collection and stumbled across this gem which was on sale!

Not only is it maroon (an autumn colour that never goes out of fashion & goes with everything) its also sheer (big bonus points) and for a maxi a pretty decent cut for my petiteness - no trailing! yay!

I've also been saving the feathered waistcoat for a while having also come across that in a sale, it was £90 but I nabbed it at the end of summer for a cool £45! Its a Topshop collection piece like my blue feathered skirt I bought a few years back but omg, the layering possibilities with this waistcoat are endless - I'm gonna love wearing this!

The boots as well were sort of on sale - but pre season! I am loving the new footwear trend for this season, Embroidery as you know has been the ultimate craze of 2016 in fashion land and I am LOVING that its also now on boots! <3 these pretties are from Daisy Street and I snapped them up over a month ago so they haven't really had their first autumn outing but I can't wait to wear them out properly.

Here's some of my fave embroidered boots out on the high street at the moment! Would you also wear these? Personally, I think they are stunning, Its not often you buy statement footwear unless you are fortunate enough to own and afford a few pairs of Irregular Choice shoes :)

Botanical

My Monaco Gran Prix botanical show-stopper. Kudos to Asos for this gem!

Firstly sorry for my resting bitch face in these! I had planned to shoot these on the Carpet Gardens on the seafront but then discovered a huge beer tent for the bank holiday had been put up on it! :)

So I went exploring for a new destination and thought I had found the perfect new place - quiet close off a nice area, pretty gardens ect... so far so good.

Turns out I had to use 2 of of my Get Out Of Jail Free Cards within 15 mins after an old Daily Mail reading* old bat came out and had a go at me for standing on a pathway near her property which didn't look like it was hers as it looked like a pathway out of the close! Que a very speedy walk away from her while she continued ranting!

Second one was nicer though but was the first time I've fished out the ummm yeah don't mind me I'm a fashion student!** excuse. :)

Anywayyy!!

A last minute impulse but omg-must-have moment hit me when I saw this dress land on Asos last week. It was exactly what I was looking for to wear for the Monaco GP practice session we attended on Thursday. Can't do Monaco without going a little glam right?

Riviera Suitcase Bag // Accessorize - Now £22!
Brown Wooden Heel Sandals // Topshop
Sunglasses // Guess

This dress just ticked all the boxes with its off shoulder floral ruffles, all over print and a sexy thigh high split. As usual when it arrived the day before we caught our flight, I ended up taking quite a lot off the bottom to make it even remotely wearable. Its ment to be long anyway but it looked ridiculous with my short legs so out came the scissors!

I cut off more than I ment to I think, but I kinda like the length now, I can also wear it with flats and it doesn't feel like it's trailing behind me. In to the suitcase it went and I felt like a goddess at the GP circuit in it.

A very tired one though as it was our last day. Thank god for sunglasses for hiding tired eyes!

Mongolian Fluffies & Camo layering..

I give camouflage a girly/grunge twist with a pink mesh dress and fluffy bag...

Nightfall Sheer Maxi Dress // Gypsy Warrior
Mongolian Pink Faux Fur Bag // New Look
Purple Floral Spiked Headband & Lion Finger Tattoo // Topshop
Boots // Boohoo

Sorry for my very tired face! has been a crazy week! You may also note in these as well as my dark circles I have what looks like cling film wrapped around my right index finger..that's because I randomly managed to cut myself - not quite sure on what!! - and all I had whilst shooting was some left over cling film in my pocket so that had to do the job for a while! luckily noticed before getting blood all over my fluffy bag and pale pink dress, that would of been a nightmare! The not so glamorous life of a fashion blogger! I should do a post with  my blooper photos in it one day so you can see all the crap I go through to take photos lol! :)

Anyway! on to the outfit, I finally managed to get my hands on a camo shirt. A pretty well known staple piece, camo is great for layering over so many things and it just goes with nearly everything! I don't know why I have waited so long before finally getting one. I know I'll be getting plenty of wear out of it.

Here I've teamed it up with my fave Gypsy Warrior pink maxi I posted about not so long ago with the pentagram harness. it kind of gives it a cool grungy edge to the pink and gives it a more casual look.

I couldn't resist throwing in a couple of sales buys - my mongolian furry bag which I found one in London in the sales a few weeks back and these very Cara D style lion finger tattoos - she's always been a huge style crush of mine! :)

ooohh, speaking of fashion queens, I managed to get tickets for London Fashion Weekend in a couple of weeks! yay! :) It will be my first one, let me know if you're going and what you plan on wearing (unless its top secret of course!) Can't wait to see fellow fashion lovers there!

Handbags & Gladrags

Rose Frill Evening Bag // old!

This year for my winter wardrobe I really wanted to carry on the 70s trend but wanted something a that was different to my short skirts and high highs I have accumulated. I went in search of a winter style 70's maxi dress and stumbled across this amazing dress from Asos!

Long sleeved dresses have been really popular since Kate Middleton wore her sleeved McQueen wedding dress a couple of years ago and I'm really pleased these have stuck around since as I for one don't like retreating in to trousers and jeans for the whole of winter. A long sleeved maxi allows you to be comfortable as well as means you don't have to fuss about with tights or too much with footwear as no one will see them. - result!

Its been so warm here (hence the unfestive backdrop!) you can also go around without a coat on a the moment so luckily for now I don't need to cover this fab dress under layers :) The pattern is quite festive though don't you think?

To try and give it more of a wintery feel, I also added in these faux fur cuffs. I first saw these during Boohoos Charli XCX drop not long ago but didn't get in there quick enough to get them, however, there are loads of these beauties on Ebay in different colours if you too missed out on getting a pair.

Faux fur instantly makes any outfit feel glam - just adding these cuffs, a evening clutch and a slick of lippy and you're there already! This outfit oozes 70s glamour - It's all about accessorising and taking it from day to evening wear simply by swapping accessories! :)
