Firestarter

Be a girl on fire in flame print with Mad But Magic @ Asos

Black Vinyl Skirt & Tights  // Primark
Studded Creepers // Shoe Zone

Noticing I'm back in black again! I tend to do this in January, I goth up as it matches my dark mood at this time of year. Short days and cold def make me feel like gothing up!

Injecting in some fun is this head turner of a top from Asos new kids Mad But Magic. I do love scouting ASOS new in and have to say all the stuff from Mad but Magic seriously caught my eye. So I treated myself to this flame crop top which works a treat with this vinyl skirt.

Still working off the sinus stuff but feeling much better, spesh now as I have ordered my new camera AT LAST!! Thank god I no longer have to take pics on my iPhone anymore! so looking forward to finally getting my blog up to scratch, its been 3 1/2 months since my camera died so am thrilled to get a new one which will be at the end of the month 😍

Check out all things from Mad But Magic here, if you love statement pieces as much as I do it won't disappoint!

Lightning strikes twice

Abit of a Bowie tribute today with lots of lightning themed stuff n silver!

Lightning Slogan Plunge T-Shirt Dress // Pretty Little Thing
Lightning/Zig Zag Tights // Primark
Silver Ankle Boots // Primark

Sorry, not best pics I know,! Trying to do outfit posts in January dicing between daylight, weather and general free time is a mission so I took the only time I could grab, the morning after a party so apols for my shattered looking face!!

I've finally managed to find another low cut top sorta thing to wear with the harness bra I got back in September, these rock chic style T-shirt dresses are all over Pretty Little thing right now and they are just perfect for weekend wear. Particularly loving the spliced ones (half n half design t-shirts) though they are a little harder to find but they are really cool and interesting!.

I was thinking of teaming up with my thigh high boots but instead as I've listening to Bowie last couple of days I opted for my new fave lightning tights and silver boots as they also go with the t-shirt anyway! Haven't worn any interesting/patterned tights since I was about 18 and lived in comic strip ones so these patterned ones are a welcome update to my boring all black or nude tights my drawer has nowadays. Maybe will get the thigh highs out another time.

Grey Mesh Dress // Topshop
Silver Boots // Primark
Mom Jeans // Missguided
Pretty Reckless Tee // (worn underneath) bought from gig

Time for a super quick post. things have been so busy lately I've barely had time to squeeze any blogging in so hoping to get some of my planned posts to you before the month is out. I still haven't even started Christmas shopping yet!

One of my latest buys is this cute lil mesh dress last week, yep, another addition to my growing collection of mesh dresses!

This is my only one that I have that isn't long so am looking forward to style it up differently hence why today I've decided to layer it over my mom jeans!

Band Tee

Most underated item in your wardrobe? The band tee! Don't just wear with jeans, wear them with pleats or midi skirts for a whole new take on grunge chic.

Pretty Reckless Band Tee // Pulp (I got this from the Edinburgh store)
Silk Pleated Vintage Style Wrap Skirt // Traffic People

Ok, confession time, I have actually had this skirt for 13 YEARS!!

That's UNWORN for 13 years!  I bought it on a trip with my mum to Croydon one Saturday and had a few sorta romantic/girly ideas to dress it but then always felt it was a little too grown up for me. Yet its survived every charity shop, and ebay stuff-to-sell  bag and is the only item I've felt compelled to keep this long without any wear, however, I think I've now discovered a new way to wear it and make it feel less dressy...

Holla to the band tee! I got this one from a cool little shop in Edinburgh called Pulp which have a really good selection. I first saw the Pretty Reckless whilst they were supporting Evanescence and went straight out to buy the album straight away, also at the same I bought a Biffy Clyro t-shirt which I also saw when they supported Muse in 2007..must have a thing for the support acts! haha!

Band tee's, like the slogan tees, are often just thrown on with a pair of jeans though I've started to branch out recently and matched this one to my Traffic People skirt to experiment and love how this combo works!

Experiment with your slogan or band tees and mix up how you wear them - they are actually the most versatile piece of clothing you could possibly own!

Borrowed from the Boys

Robbed the boys closet for an oversized 90's street denim look! (sorry, not sorry!)

Oversized Denim Jacket // Bershka menswear (similar here)
Denim Rucksack // Primark
White Flatforms// Primark

This is a look I experimented with last week whilst I had time off work, I've always loved denim jackets but have this odd theory that blondes look better in them so have never owned one!

However, I pinched my fellas prized jacket, he wears double denim all the time and looks awesome doing so tbh (and yep, hes blond!) and I styled it up to see if I could be swayed and I quite like this one! think this is due to that its over sized though so it gives it an edgier street look as its obvs a little too big for me!

If I spot one in a charity or vintage shop that's a couple of sizes too big I may just get one now...a couple of patches and badges would make this jacket amazing, don't think Rich would be to pleased if I did that to his jacket though!

The 90's Slip

The It dress of 2016 is back with an autumnal look for the new season!

Dark Floral Slip Dress // Primark
Dragonfly Choker // Topshop
White Platform Trainers // Primark
White Tee - Primark
Denim Backpack // Primark

Reminiscent of the 90's , the slipdress is back with a bang after Celine and Calvin Klein collections sent it down the runway last season. I first experimented with a very spring-like manga slip here earlier this year and went for quite a girly vibe. Here I'm experimenting with darker florals as we start to change up for autumn.

The slip is just the perfect transeasonal dress as it can be styled so many ways. Sure, its technically like wearing your nightwear outside during the day but throw in layering and boom! you've got yourself a effortlessly cool look that's super casual and full of grunge chic vibes -  that's the trick with styling the 90's slip!

I love slip dresses not only for all stuff mentioned above but also because they are flattering on everyone. This slip is just £13 from Primark! ideal if your slightly wary of the idea of wearing basically a nighty outside but want to give it a go and experiment with it, just layering it on a white t-shirt here as I've done instantly gives it edge.

Don your best battered converse, baggiest knit and slouchy backpack with a ton of chokers and your pretty much there.

Tarot

Feelin mystical & magical in this gorgeous handmade babydoll dress...

Tarot Print Babydoll Dress // Cosmic Drifters
Moon, Stars & Saturn Boots // Charity Shop

Sorry I have been MIA the last two weeks, I am finally back up and out and feeling better again after having the WORST flu ever! :(

I haven't been able to do any shooting or anything so I am catching up on some of the posts I want to show before the Spring season really comes in, & boy, I can't wait!

This stunning Cosmic Drifters babydoll though will see me through this season & beyond. I do love a classic baby doll style, they are pretty hard to find nowadays (which is odd as they are pretty much flattering on all sizes and shapes)

This is my second dress from the lovely laydees at Cosmic Drifters, as I bought the Navajo dress in this post last autumn. Such good stuff on there site at the mo, if you are a fan of witchy prints then you seriously need to check them out!

I couldn't resist teaming it up with these incredible bowie-esk boots I found in my local MIND charity shop and showing you my fave tarot card set I have had for yeeeeaarrs but is my fave as they are all anime illustrated with pretty japanesy cartoons <3

Mongolian Fluffies & Camo layering..

I give camouflage a girly/grunge twist with a pink mesh dress and fluffy bag...

Nightfall Sheer Maxi Dress // Gypsy Warrior
Mongolian Pink Faux Fur Bag // New Look
Purple Floral Spiked Headband & Lion Finger Tattoo // Topshop
Boots // Boohoo

Sorry for my very tired face! has been a crazy week! You may also note in these as well as my dark circles I have what looks like cling film wrapped around my right index finger..that's because I randomly managed to cut myself - not quite sure on what!! - and all I had whilst shooting was some left over cling film in my pocket so that had to do the job for a while! luckily noticed before getting blood all over my fluffy bag and pale pink dress, that would of been a nightmare! The not so glamorous life of a fashion blogger! I should do a post with  my blooper photos in it one day so you can see all the crap I go through to take photos lol! :)

Anyway! on to the outfit, I finally managed to get my hands on a camo shirt. A pretty well known staple piece, camo is great for layering over so many things and it just goes with nearly everything! I don't know why I have waited so long before finally getting one. I know I'll be getting plenty of wear out of it.

Here I've teamed it up with my fave Gypsy Warrior pink maxi I posted about not so long ago with the pentagram harness. it kind of gives it a cool grungy edge to the pink and gives it a more casual look.

I couldn't resist throwing in a couple of sales buys - my mongolian furry bag which I found one in London in the sales a few weeks back and these very Cara D style lion finger tattoos - she's always been a huge style crush of mine! :)

ooohh, speaking of fashion queens, I managed to get tickets for London Fashion Weekend in a couple of weeks! yay! :) It will be my first one, let me know if you're going and what you plan on wearing (unless its top secret of course!) Can't wait to see fellow fashion lovers there!
