Granny's Attic

When looking for clashing prints hitting up Vintage stores is your best bet,,.

Floral Tea Dress // Vintage
Hand Painted Leather Jacket // Dirty Disco
Glitter Socks // Topshop
Leopard Print T-Bar Shoes // Topshop
Moschino Belt // Vintage

I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled on this dress, I had been looking for a clashing granny style dress with a bold floral for grungier outfits and found this one for just £5!

It looks perfect with  my Moschino belt cinching in at the waist, glitter socks and absolute fave Dirty Disco Jacket!  Hoping to get some new biker boots as well for a tougher look.

An old dear came up to me as well to ask me about my ensemble when taking these as they reminded her of what she used to own, ended up talking to her for a while about vintage fashion and how back then they wore petticoats underneath dresses that were stiffened in a mixture of water & sugar!

If you're lovin this look I've got some more granny style outfit info below which you can get on the high street/online!

Sunday Girl

Thigh highs take the backseat whilst knee high boots rule supreme,,,

Floral Blouse // Asos
Black Tassel Bag // Primark

I am obsessed with my new knee highs from New Look, tbh have never owned a pair till now as was in love with the colour of them at first but now am wearing them with everything, Particularly like to wear them with my navy mac!  (aside jeans..never understood the jeans tucked in boots look!) These are now just £15 in New Look in the sales!

I also love a good pattered shirt/blouse. I fell in love with this floral one just before Christmas and had to get it for my back to work wear!

To complete this outfit, hunted down this corded skirt from Select, I really like corded stuff but its quite hard to find unless you manage to track it down in vintage shops where it can be expensive, this skirt was just £10 though and will go with pretty much everything.

ps. Sorry for the ghosty look in my photos, winter weather is a mission to shoot in, spesh on this day cus the sky was a grey white! :) I'm not one to over-photoshop to as I'd rather you had a realistic look at what the garms actually look like instead of me tinkering with everything to make it looks over polished! Kinda looks more 70s style anyway no? :)

Brown Suede Cut-Out Boots // New Look

Absolutely love this romantic bustier dress! Its very princessy and for me it reminds me a little of the dress Princess Gisele makes in Disney's Enchanted film when she makes the floral dress from the curtains!

I have had this dress waiting for months but decided that today now being nearly the end of May it was time to wear it although its still not really quite that warm yet. :) Off shoulder dresses & tops have been everywhere this Spring and is one of my fave styles to wear.

So I layered on my suede tassel jacket and have given it abit of a Prarie girl/wild west look with some feathers n turquoise beads in my hair too. I have definitely re-discovered my love of turquoise accessories - I love how they can brighten up a look by adding pops of colour. You'll have to excuse the shoddy painting of my nails though, I am no artist and I put this nail varnish on last minute to match the ring and beads! have no patience when it comes to nails!

Floral Chiffon Plunge Maxi Playsuit - Missguided
Wide Brim Black Fedora Hat - Asos
Black Suede Platform Studded Boots - Ebay

Well, its official - Autumn is here!

I have seen so many pretty things for this season I want to get - starting with this chiffon maxi playsuit from Missguided. It has such a cool 70's boho vibe to it which I adore. I have such a huuuge wishlist of Missguided's New In section as its all so amazing!

I have an abundance of bright floral things in my wardrobe and I usually avoid florals on black or dark colours unless there is a gothicy twist to it so this was abit of a change for me though I like the autumnal colours of the roses on it. I wouldn't also go for a plunging neckline either but this one fits beautifully - have opted for the smallest size to avoid any exposure issues.

I'l try and get as much wear out of this before I have to start thing about layering it over things. Is particularly nippy in the mornings at the moment unless I'm just feeling it more since coming back from Spain last week. Looks like I'll be covering up my tan quicker than hoped, though I can't deny I'm not excited about cosy knits and sweaters appearing everywhere at the moment. Keep an eye on my Pintrest board for my best pics of whats around! :)
