#allgirls

Chatting about my fave online fashion campaign of the year and another fabulous charity shop find!

Teal Coat // John Rocha (Charity Shop)
Grey Suede Boots // Primark
Tiger Print Bag // Current Mood

Sorry for lack of posting again! My blogging has been truly terrible this year having missed all spring and pretty much half of my fave season, autumn.. Thankfully with my new time off scenario (more on that later) I had time to shoot a couple of outfits today.  Que lots of squeezing in wears of leather jackets, thigh boots with sheer tights and long sleeved T's till it really is too cold to wear them over the next few weeks!

The coat is my new fave, another Haywards Heath charity shop find. It looks totally unworn by its previous owner and cost just £7! :) Think it was a British Heart Foundation shop.
I LOVE the colour, it really brightens up my darker outfits. I am now committed to wearing more black as I am now working in a salon this is the uniform colour I have to wear. So I'll be def separating my wardrobe in to fun weekendy things and my black gothicky salon attire!

This cute little black Boohoo tea dress was actually bought with another occasion in mind which was our wedding anniversary earlier this month. I am obsessed with all things from Boohoo at the moment and particularly their #allgirls campaign which I think more brands need to start to do.

The campaign features girls of all shapes, sizes and colour which makes such a refreshing change of the usual models who are all exactly the same height, body type and more often then not have had some kind of surgery done here as well as a mountain of photo-shopping. Its not always a realistic to advertise clothes when using these models as it doesn't represent every girl out there. So here we have the #allgirls campaign which I'm loving. Its so nice to see realistic models!

It would be great if the high street also followed suit and had different mannequin shapes and sizes as well as ones with disabilities too. Hopefully one day in the not too distant future this will happen!

Grey on Grey

All in grey for this cute outfit! Better still it comes in at under £30! :)

Tealish Grey Fedora // Primark
Grey Thigh High Boots // Primark
Grey Denim Wash Out Backpack // Primark

I'm really enjoying wearing all one colour at the moment and feelin matchy matchy. Grey is one of those colours I really like to wear, usually pairing up with another colour however I've done something different today and left brighter colours out of it!

Most of this outfit is all Primark bar the dress from Boohoo. I'd recommend Boohoo for anything smock dress related as there's so many to choose and they are just the cosiest dress to wear. One of my fave reasons to shop at Boohoo is that the search option is great to use if you are just searching for an outfit in one colour of a type of dress, loads of options come up but makes shopping so much easier and they always have a good choice at budget friendly prices too!

Primark's A/W range looks again to be fantastic and I am anticipating loads of amazing stuff dropping in stores soon if the previews and press day were anything to go by!

These grey thigh highs are one of my favourites in store at the moment and takes my collection of thigh boots to three now having them in black brown and these fab grey ones.

Check out Primarks website and keep an eye out for the latest drops coming to store! :)

Vagabond

I pay a quick homage to Prada's AW16 styling, minus the Sony NEX-5...

Corset Belt // DIY
Grey Thigh High Boots // Primark

A couple of weeks ago I went in to the hairdressers for my 3 monthly roots touch up. I'm usually there for hours (damn you fine, aubany hair!!) whilst they bleach it up in which time I usually read a book and every magazine the salon has to offer.

Whilst there reading editions of Glamour & Elle I stumbled across a feature on Prada's AW campaign earlier this year and totally fell in love with the styling. Miuccia Prada had explained backstage at her AW16 show that it was inspired by the idea of a Vagabond, all outfits were incredibly detailed, experimenting with layering and different textures - with one eye catching detail that struck me on most of the models which was a large corset belt worn in a fairly undone way.

This look has definitely inspired me to try this over the top of my 70s maxi dresses I lived in last year to give them a new season update, Although this DIY belt is far from finished. I wanted to make the edging look as raw as possible so I took an old pair of jeans and ripped along the seams for a frayed raw look.

The only newness on this one is my new grey thigh boots, pleased to now say I own a pair of thigh highs in black, brown and grey now with all three being different in that they are different heel sizes and fabrics!

PS. Sorry about the poor quality pictures, as you may of seen on my Instagram or Twitter, my camera faceplanted itself last time I was out with it (despite being on a flat service on its tripod!!) and fell in to a cosy pile of leaves.

Only then did I pick it up to find the lens had totally disjointed and now its completely broken with Jessops quoting more to repair than the whole camera cost me to buy new in 2013! :'( hopefully will think of a new alternative as whilst there is always a phone camera its no where near as good as I do miss my camera alot.

If you are solo shooting on a tripod though and find yourself minus a camera than the Timercam app  and a Joby Griptight mount for universal tripods are a good make do. The app is free and you can set a timer for up to 15 seconds and the Joby comes in at only £7.99 from John Lewis. You can pick up the next day from store or a Waitrose if they deliver to yours. That's how I'm making do for the moment!

Lovin Autumn..

Striped Knit Crop Top // Missguided
Black Fedora // TK Maxx
Black Thigh High Platforms // Sole Affair

Starting to get in to the swing of all things autumn now, Trying my hardest to find a Halloween outfit at last minute in time for next weekend, eating loads of butternut squash and pumpkin flavoured things and cosy evenings in. :) I still have a few summer things out that I'm wearing, sneaking them in before the cold really sets in!

This Missguided co-ord was something I bought a roundabout a month ago, I love the rust and mustard yellow stripes and the lovely gold glitter in between! Real autumnal colours.

What are your're favourite things about autumn? :)

Jeffrey Campbell Dupes & Bell Sleeves

I had been lusting over the Free People x Jeffrey Campbell Joe boots for ages but the £248 price tag was way too pricey for me. I had a scout around on Ebay though and spotted these very looky likey boots and picked these up for just £35!

They look sooo close to the originals and come in similar colour choices to the Free People version, only the leather isn't as soft looking and these are a slightly lighter brown. The sizing and quality is really good for the price paid though! :) for £35 they are def a JC dupe win!

In more salesy bargains, I also managed to nab this gorgeous teal bell sleeve dress in Missguided's end of summer sale for a tenner! :D its thick material and long sleeves make it a great choice for autumn now its getting abit chillier outside in the evenings. Its completely sold out now but is still in Asos but not at the sale price.

Have you managed to get any good end of season bargains or found a good clothing dupe recently? let me know! :)

You Are The Constellations

Gold Saturn Hair Rings // Regal Rose
Black Leather Jacket // Pretty Little Thing
Platform Chunky Suede Thigh High Boots // Sole Affair

Messy plaits & floaty sheer shirt vibes..

Still trying, and failing, to create a braided look so went for this messy undone plait (which came even more undone in the wind!) for the weekend and some amazing gold Saturn hair rings from Regal Rose to accessorise. <3 love them! will def go back and get the sun and the feather ones.

These also go perfect with my starry new blouse from Oh My Love, saw this very Valentino-esk print blouse on their website and knew it had to be mine straight away! unlike my other pussybow blouse which is more shirtlike and waitressy, this one has abit of a more floaty feel, with pretty sleeves and can be worn as a dress or tucked in shorts - two outfits for the price of one!

The platform thigh highs have also made a comeback too! though never quite banished away till the autumn (you can never trust the pesky British weather!) I was missing them alot and thought as the weather had decided to go all windy and rainy again last week when it was so full of promise the week before they could come back out again!

How are you dressing for the transeasonal weather? :)

Two Delusional

Spongebob Squarepants Knit Sweater Dress // Ebay (you can find sweater version at Choies)
Thigh High Boots // Sole Affair
2 Delusional Backpack // Amazon (Similar version on Dolls kill)

Feels like its been ages since I've been able to do a proper outfit shoot! though this time its due to me being crazy busy and not the weather being too crap to shoot outside!

This is a looky likey copy kinda outfit - The knit sweater dress is a copy of the Moschino version that was heavily featured during Mochino's 2014 fall collection which was Spongebob crazy!! However, not having the funds to splash out on the real one, I've settled for this identical knit dress from Ebay for only £15! :D A must have for any Spongebob fan!

How awesome is this 2d backpack?! its totally flat but the 2d graphic makes it look like a drawing! cool huh! I got this one from Amazon as it sadly went out of stock on Dolls Kill before I could get one. I have such a huge wish list on the Dolls Kill website, need to actually buy something from there soon. Fingers crossed they open a UK shop online or high street, we need more cool shops like this!
