Debenhams SS15 Press Event

A month or so ago, I was invited to the Debenhams SS15 press show, which took place earlier this week in London. I very excitedly said yes and popped up to London to see what they have in store for next season!

I spent ages wondering around the stands creating a huuge wish list! This has got to be Debenhams most boldest and best season collection to date.

My favourite brands: Floozie, H! Holland & Matthew Williamson didn't disappoint, with such cool prints such as bicycles, watermelons (yep lots of fruityness!) and some amazing holographic stuff! It was all really bright and fun and its made me wish it could be summer all over again, but for all these lovely things, we will have to wait till next year for these to appear in Debenhams stores.

What I'm Wearing - Metallic Jewel Tone Print Skirt & Crop Top Co-ord - Missguided

Floozie Watermelon Accessories

Floozie Flamingo Bikini
Jenny Packham Feather Cape
Matthew Williamson Butterfly
Mantaray Dress
H! Holland Milk Carton Bag
Floozie Nautical Pumps and bag

I took sooo many pictures (200+!) they wouldn't all fit on here so I made a quick video thingy so you can see all the highlights and pick out your faves :) I'll also add on the Homewear section on another post soon.

Studded Boots // Pretty Little Thing
Pikachu Choker // @LittleFoxCraftz (Instragram)
90's Choker // Ebay

Am writing this post tucked up under my blanket, snuggled on the sofa feeling sorry for myself as a pesky cold has snuck up on me! I'm not usually one to whine and moan about getting coughs and colds but this ones leaving me feeling sicky as well..best get it over n done with before Christmas I spose though!

I've been itching to show off this Missguided Mustard check dress for a while, its one of my favourite things at the moment as its a fairly thick material which again is perfect for this time of year and of course, I still love all things mustard yellow! Really want a studded black bag to go with this dress though.

Lastly, the Pikachu choker - how cuute is this!! I love Pokemon and still have kept my pokeball, pokedex, posters, cards and pokemon handbook still from when I was about 11 and my sole ambition in life was to either be a Pokemon master or the next Kylie/Jennifer Lopez lol! This was a lucky n random find thru Instragram & Ebay and she sells other cute necklaces that are Disney themed too :) - take a look!

Colourful Knits

Leather Panel Leggings // TopShop
Lips // Barry M Lip Paint in Shocking Pink
Gloves // Primark

Managed to squeeze this shoot in at lunchtime just before the rain came back! Was kinda hoping the Shetland Ponies would be there as well but they have vanished and we now have a small herd of donkeys including the weird donkey-cow print one which me and my colleagues are not sure if this one is a cow or a donkey! Not seen one like this before but he's the most friendliest of the bunch!

Just wanted to show a couple of new additions to my knitwear stuffs, I'm usually more of a jumpers or sweaters girl as I find knitwear so expensive and hard to keep looking nice as they always shrink or lose shape so easily. This jumper was something I spotted in the BHS sale whilst out maternity shopping with my sister a couple of weeks ago and liked it so much I went back for it. Its actually by the Teen wear section Tammy Girl (if you wear born in the 80's you will remember Tammy when it was part of Etam and had loads of cool clothes - so wish it would come back! Spent most of my early teenage years lusting over everything in there!) This is a size 10-11 but fits perfectly as most childrens wear stuff usually does if ur a fellow shorty girl :) There's no stupid length issue with the arms or it looking more like a dress! Yay! petite girl win! :)

Best thing I like is that it is a mix of nice bright colours. Colourful knitwear is perfect for brightening up dark winter days in the office and is easy to style. I'm wearing my beloved old pair of leather panel leggings I bought from Topshop a few years back which are sadly getting very worn now and peeling (ewww) so I will be on the hunt for a new pair soon. Calzedonia has actually just opened a new store in Brighton so I may head over there and check out what they might have to offer.

Finally, I'll give a mention to my rainbow scarf & gloves - how cute are they! These are new in at Primark at the moment and I LOVE them!! I hate buying gloves and scarfs usually and tend to stick to neutral colours to avoid clashing with any other outfits but I couldn't resist these. They all seem to be dip dyed as they all look totally individual with no pair looking the same. The scarf I haven't worn out yet as its not quite cold enough down here in Sussex but I can't wait to wear it out, am almost willing the weather to get colder so I can!

After Dark We Dance

Studded Ankle Boots // Pretty Little Thing
Black Leather Jacket // Pretty Little Thing
Pearl Necklace //  Vivienne Westwood

Definitely starting to feel alot more christmassy now, the Boots Christmas gift guide has become my cosmetics wish list whilst I circle everything I like inside, the John Lewis Ad with the cutest little penguin has now been released (I actually waited until I could go home and watch it in full without having to explain to my colleagues why I was crying lol!) and it now feels officially ok to wear sequins for both day and night without feeling OTT! I'm a big lover of glitter, jacquard and jewel colours but sadly they are only really appropriate for this time of year!

It was my mum and dads pearl anniversary this weekend so we headed up to London to see Mamma Mia in the Novello Theatre near Leicester Square.

I wanted to wear something special and decided on this amazing iridescent sequined number from Motel (the Gabby Dress) It is one of the most popular and quite possibly the most blogged about Motel Dress ever but I can totally see why. It suits anyone, the sequins hold on really well (You would have to maliciously damage this dress in order to lose any sequins) unlike most other sequined or embellished garments and the quality is top notch,  The material that holds the sequins quite thick which keeps you snug if you are out in the evening, and quite possibly the best best is that its iridescent so when you move in it the sequins got from a green to bluey colour .Its sooo sparkly!

I've seen alot of retailers make cheaper copies of this dress recently but they don't have any of these above features to them. The Motel Gabby dress is obvs more expensive at £59 but Motel very often do 20% discounts on full price items and tbh its worth it for the quality as well - I can see this been worn again and again for events in the future and due to its quality will still feel new and special.

PS. Sorry for the crappy picture quality, had to take these pretty quick and inside in low light as it was busy in the theatre & Starbucks!

The Baby Blue Teddy Coat

Baby Blue Teddy Coat // Bershka
Voodoo Girl 666 Crop Sweater // Voodoo Girl Couture
Black PU Panel Leggings // H&M

This is the last item of my little holiday haul from Barca! Totally weird to go on a sun holiday and come back with a winter coat but hey ho!

I actually read an article the other day about a lady who also recently went to Barcelona for a winter shopping trip and bought from the biggest imported Spanish brands Mango & Bershka to see how much it would cost in the equivalent of buying in the UK, adding in the costs of the flight and accommodation and it was cheaper to fly out and get them straight from Spain rather then buy in the UK! Crazy huh? May have to organise a Euro shopping trip in the new year. It did take my baggage limit over hand luggage but it was totally worth it! :)

I've been wanting a baby blue teddy coat for aaages but just finding the ones in shops were way too long and just swamped my petite frame, as soon as I spotted this one in the Portal de l'Angel store I knew I had to get it or regret it! I'm not really a fan of buying coats as they always seem to be in boring dull colours but this pastel blue shade will keep me going though in to winter and spring :)

Not only is it super snuggly, it has a nylon hood so it its raining it dosent get all soggy and horrible, I also noticed only whilst taking these pics that the whole nylon lining inside the coat attached to the hood is removable by a zipper, so if you prefer not to have the hood and just want to have the coat on its own, you can!

These Teddy coats are now also in Bershka UK stores and online in both baby blue,  baby pink or black

Día de Muertos

Mine and Toria's pumpkins!

Day of the dead skull cookies

Tortilla's ,skull meringues & orange kitty cat jelly sweets!

Toria's Spider web cake

Day of the Dead Face Transfers // Claire's Accessories
Red Rose Hair Clips // Claire's Accessories
Black Leather Split Maxi // Pretty Little Thing
Pentagram Choker // Missguided
90's Choker // Ebay

A little late posting but its been a crazy busy weekend, this is kinda instead of my usual monthly edit as haven't taken many photo's of other things this month apart from halloween so I mixed this in with the halloween party and sorta an outfit post.

This was my outfit for the Halloween weekend, As we had the 1st and 2nd November in the weekend to it seemed pretty appropriate to go for a proper Day of the Dead theme as it falls across this Mexican celebration perfectly!.

I hosted the party so this year I wanted something I could create that was quick, easy but still effective. Claire's Accessories came to my rescue with these amazing face stickers! The only parts I did do myself was the lipstick, mouth stitches and black eyes. It was a three for two event so I also picked up some clip on feather earrings which are surprisingly comfortable to wear and and these pretty red rose hair clips :)

If you haven't noticed already, I have a major fetish for wearing leather/PU or vinyl clothes, particularly in black at the mo and am loving Pretty Little Thing's New in section which full of amazing things right now. I found this leather side split maxi dress on there and thought I'd try it out and haven't stopped wearing it since it came!

Its super flattering cus its so clingy and as it has a side split it flows out at the bottom, almost making it look abit like a fish tail style dress.

If  your looking to try this A/W's leather trend then Pretty Little Thing is definitely my recommended place to look!
