The 80s Called...

and they are ready to party! So bring your big hair, huge puff sleeves and neon colours out for Christmas party wear, AW17 style!

Pink Metallic Clutch // Primark
Blue Suede Heels // H&M
Blue Scarf (worn as hair tie) // Tie Rack

Party season is officially here! TBH I'm excited even without a party to go to as I cannot wait to see this year out, is has been one of my absolute worst, and that's comparing it to alot of pretty deep stuff so you know when I say its been crap it really really has been!

The fashion side of things has been far from a let down though, this season has seen a serious 80s revival, and as a proud 80s child I am lovin it!

This Asos dress ticks all the boxes, one shoulder, puff sleeve, colourful and of course a touch of leopard print! Unfortunately the camera doesn't pick it up, but there is also silvery stitching around the print which gives it a lovely shiny festive look.

I also haven't worn anything one shoulder in a longgg time, I used to love one shoulder tops though (I totally had one of the Tammy Girl tops with one shoulder and diamante writing "Babe" on it when I was around 14, you know you had one too!) so I am rediscovering my love for these here. It is much more comfy to wear than I thought it would be.

If you are looking for a look-at-me party dress this year then I think going for one of these unique one shoulder beauties is well worth it and will be a stand out piece for your wardrobe, that and think of all the layering possibility's you could do with this..!

If you don't feel confident rocking a huge puff sleeve, then why not try one of the more subtle options to give your take on the trend? Boohoo has some great ones in metallic shades, or if you want to go full blown 80s babe then hit up ASOS for shoulder pad and puff sleeve heaven.

Gingham

Make Gingham the ultimate transeasonal piece, layer over sleeved tops or wear with fishnet tights for extra style points!

Gold Glitter Heart Bag // Skinny Dip London
Western Style Fedora // Asos (similar here
Pink Lace Up Choker // Primark
Western Style Backless Ankle Boots // Primark

The other week when I took these it felt positively spring like, and this Gingham dress from H&M is giving me all the spring feels! However, this week am back in black and layers. What gives weather?stop being such a tease!

Gingham always makes me feel feel county and western so I couldn't help but pop on a fedora and these cute cut-out western boots from Primark (just £12!) for a bit of Cowgirlyness too.

My hair looks mega auburn in these pics as well cus the suns on it! its gonna be a mission lightning my hair in a month or so (been advised it will take at least 2 attempts & possibly spend a month or two with ginger hair..hoping more strawberry blonde..) but we will get there! so ready for a complete hair change!

Check out these over Gingham pretties for a more spring-like look to your wardrobe, sun isn't promised but shouldn't be too much longer now. I literally cannot wait to start on Easter Eggs so I'm starting this eve with a lil Malteasers one :)

We Go Together Like Crop Tops & Leather

Have Missguided won my heart back? With amazing new season collection the answer may be yes...

Criss-Cross Burgundy Crop Top // Missguided (now  30% off!)
Leather Zip Front Trousers // H&M

Ah Missguided, I adored them when they first launched and would spend lots of time on the website drooling over the new in, it was always ahead of the fashion game and had something for everyone. I was rapidly adding to my wish list and shopping away on Pay Day on everything I loved.

Something happened though and we kinda, I dunno, grew apart? It went a little too Kardashian (ya, know, literally everything bodycon and cut out..yawn)  the last couple of years and I would go on the site disappointed with what they had and I haven't purchased anything on there for ages.

However, it feels like I may be making a U-turn back to MG, I mean, have you seen the New Season drop?! Check out my Pintrest if you want to see my fave picks from Missguided's latest drop at the moment.

I also headed to the new Missguided store in Stratford London and it is literally the coolest Fashion shop I've ever gone in! its well worth the Tube ticket and hike across Zone 2&3 on the tube to get there! I did take a ton of snaps which will be in an upcoming blog post so be sure you don't miss that!

I couldn't resist this burgundy crop top, I love the criss cross design so I do feel too exposed as well as it adds a playful edge and the frill sleeves are a huge nod to the SS17 trend of frills on sleeves.

What do you think about Missguided's latest offerings?  :)

Namaste!

Pink Tie Dye Split Trousers // Pretty Little Thing
Leopard Print Sequin Gem Bralet // H&M

Ok, I admit it, I have been peeking at the new AW trends and have my Pinterest inspo board set up ready with plenty of swoonworthy garms but it does really bother me when I see shops changing their stuff over to new season in AUGUST– What is it with introducing new coats and scarfs now??

It’s just too soon for me to part with my monies to buy stuff I have to wait another 2-3 months to wear!! Does this bug anyone else or is it just me?!

I’m so not ready to pack my summer stuff away and go full pelt in to A/W, Summer isn’t over yet!

I couldn’t resist these amazing split trousers, they are so different to anything I have had before and they are tie dye (ultimate win/win!)  As always they were way too long when they arrived so I cut them down (abit haphazardly admittedly so they are alot shorter than i wanted...oops!) but still wearable! I would love to wear these to a yoga retreat or something if i could ever go toone, would love a chilled summer holiday about now!

The top is an oldie but a good un! found it in H&M a couple of years back with matching shorts though they don't fit me as well anymore! this top is one of my faves though!

Sun & Moon

Bodysuits are definitely having a moment! My fave is this sun & moon print one!

Sun and Moon Bodysuit // Missguided (poss sold out?)
Black Tassel Skirt // Coachella collection @ H&M
Black Western Boots // Missguided
Black Western Fedora // ASOS

The bodysuit is back with a bang this season, with many featuring this gorgeous lattice front style detailing.

This starry mystical beaut is from Missguided, It keeps selling out and then reappearing a few days later after a restock so I'm sorry if the above link no longer works after I post this!

I've matched it up with my coachella skirt from last year for abit of a festival look and am trying work a fedora though today was not hat weather (or fringing weather tbh! check out how tangled my skirts getting! :/ ) A windy seaside town is definitely not a ideal place for any style blogger!

Kiss The Sky

Still obsessed with this seasons neckerchief trend, fringing and all things cowgirl..

White Fitted Shirt // Primark
Leather Look Trousers // H&M
Spur Buckle Ankle Boots // Missguided

Literally just realised in all these shots I am wearing the neckerchief the wrong way round!! doh!

It should be worn with the tassley triangle at the front but I guess it can be worn both ways :) I've kinda gone for a shawl look here!

I really like how this piece can make such a difference to a plain outfit, I'm looking forward to teaming this up with little t-shirts and stuff when it warms up just a little bit more. Would love it if Asos did more of these in different colours! fingers crossed they do!

Anyhoo, I'm off now to do some holiday shopping, off to the south of France at the end of May so am looking for some pretty holiday buys! Can't wait to go on holiday! :)

Mongolian Fluffies & Camo layering..

I give camouflage a girly/grunge twist with a pink mesh dress and fluffy bag...

Nightfall Sheer Maxi Dress // Gypsy Warrior
Mongolian Pink Faux Fur Bag // New Look
Purple Floral Spiked Headband & Lion Finger Tattoo // Topshop
Boots // Boohoo

Sorry for my very tired face! has been a crazy week! You may also note in these as well as my dark circles I have what looks like cling film wrapped around my right index finger..that's because I randomly managed to cut myself - not quite sure on what!! - and all I had whilst shooting was some left over cling film in my pocket so that had to do the job for a while! luckily noticed before getting blood all over my fluffy bag and pale pink dress, that would of been a nightmare! The not so glamorous life of a fashion blogger! I should do a post with  my blooper photos in it one day so you can see all the crap I go through to take photos lol! :)

Anyway! on to the outfit, I finally managed to get my hands on a camo shirt. A pretty well known staple piece, camo is great for layering over so many things and it just goes with nearly everything! I don't know why I have waited so long before finally getting one. I know I'll be getting plenty of wear out of it.

Here I've teamed it up with my fave Gypsy Warrior pink maxi I posted about not so long ago with the pentagram harness. it kind of gives it a cool grungy edge to the pink and gives it a more casual look.

I couldn't resist throwing in a couple of sales buys - my mongolian furry bag which I found one in London in the sales a few weeks back and these very Cara D style lion finger tattoos - she's always been a huge style crush of mine! :)

ooohh, speaking of fashion queens, I managed to get tickets for London Fashion Weekend in a couple of weeks! yay! :) It will be my first one, let me know if you're going and what you plan on wearing (unless its top secret of course!) Can't wait to see fellow fashion lovers there!

Back to Black

A couple of my fave H&M buys, both old and new and of the black and tassely variety!

Black Leggings // H&M (old)
Black & Green Dip Dye Tassel Necklace // H&M (old)
Black Fedora// TK Maxx
Biker Boots // Boohoo (old)

Working in the city or industrial areas its pretty simple but to work in the countryside means wearing pretty shoes or pencil skirts is a no no - especially at this time of year, I have done a couple of other previous posts on my country themed workwear before (again with abit of a 70s vibe) :) However you cannot wear platforms to complete the look, you have to come prepared for working in the county as it means muddy boots become pretty much a regular thing

I tend to stick to comfy basics at work, my comfiest stretchy leggings (these are going on a couple of years old now and are holey!!) are a staple of mine and then I jazz it up with an interesting top.

As you know I'm not really a fan of all black erraythang and love my colours, however saw this fringed black knit in H&M last weekend in Brighton and thought it would make a good addition to my could-get-away-with-wearing-at-work attire - That and look at that fringe detail! - Can you believe this was only £6!

You can't really see in the photos but the fringe goes all up the sleeves and across the back to. The front bit with the green tassels is actually a necklace I also picked up n H&M again a good couple of years ago, but didn't find anything to wear with it all this time until now  - was worth the wait though!
