May Blogger Babes

Can you believe it's nearly June?! What an earth has happened to this year!

At the same time, I am delighted that summer is just around the corner! Summer fashion is without a doubt my fave,  the more colourful and exciting, the better! :)

My blogger babe this month is a long deserving one as her style is just incredible and I feature her loads!

The lovely Amelia from Heart Shaped Rose is one of my favourite bloggers, her style is always amazing and every outfit is jaw droppingly fab! Her wardrobe must be huge to store the sheer amount of clothes she has!

Anyway, here she is in an earlier post this month rocking the huge SS16 trend - iron on patches!

Heart Shaped Rose- Bacon & Strawberry's

Mermaidens - Mermaids take Shelfies

Fashion cannot Die - Rock n Royalty

Sara's in Love With... - The Melancholy of Being Frozen in Time

Stardust Bohemian - City Explorer

Helibells - Mermaid Two Piece

Style Peaches - Wolves

Masha Sedgwick - Middle East meets Berlin

Botanical

My Monaco Gran Prix botanical show-stopper. Kudos to Asos for this gem!

Firstly sorry for my resting bitch face in these! I had planned to shoot these on the Carpet Gardens on the seafront but then discovered a huge beer tent for the bank holiday had been put up on it! :)

So I went exploring for a new destination and thought I had found the perfect new place - quiet close off a nice area, pretty gardens ect... so far so good.

Turns out I had to use 2 of of my Get Out Of Jail Free Cards within 15 mins after an old Daily Mail reading* old bat came out and had a go at me for standing on a pathway near her property which didn't look like it was hers as it looked like a pathway out of the close! Que a very speedy walk away from her while she continued ranting!

Second one was nicer though but was the first time I've fished out the ummm yeah don't mind me I'm a fashion student!** excuse. :)

Anywayyy!!

A last minute impulse but omg-must-have moment hit me when I saw this dress land on Asos last week. It was exactly what I was looking for to wear for the Monaco GP practice session we attended on Thursday. Can't do Monaco without going a little glam right?

Riviera Suitcase Bag // Accessorize - Now £22!
Brown Wooden Heel Sandals // Topshop
Sunglasses // Guess

This dress just ticked all the boxes with its off shoulder floral ruffles, all over print and a sexy thigh high split. As usual when it arrived the day before we caught our flight, I ended up taking quite a lot off the bottom to make it even remotely wearable. Its ment to be long anyway but it looked ridiculous with my short legs so out came the scissors!

I cut off more than I ment to I think, but I kinda like the length now, I can also wear it with flats and it doesn't feel like it's trailing behind me. In to the suitcase it went and I felt like a goddess at the GP circuit in it.

A very tired one though as it was our last day. Thank god for sunglasses for hiding tired eyes!

* A newspaper designed for the baby boomer generation in the UK. Preaches that young people are evil and will steal your money and handbag and a moments notice. Cancer is caused by anything and everything ranging from mobile phones, bacon, being male, being female, artificial light, broccoli... the full list is here. This contradicts itself on rotation, telling you the opposite by the next week.

And lastly, if its a story containing any human in it, be it a celebrity, victim of crime, criminal, whatever it ALWAYS has to say how much their property value is, even if its totally unrelated to the story!

**wishes! SIGH.

The Etsy Shops you've gotta check out!

My obsession with Ebay has always been strong. For me its a great go to to find cheaper versions of things online or if I am looking for shoes I usually end up on Ebay as so many end up going second hand but unworn for cheap too!

But when it comes to looking for something unique it's not really the place of choice to shop, which is where Etsy comes in.

Esty is an great platform for sellers selling things they they have made, with all the handmade love and uniqueness you could possibly want! Its not just clothes either, you can buy cards, interior bits and pieces, accessories and more!

So here's my fave shops on Etsy you need to check out!

Whimsical Cake Company

Creating super cute treats that are almost too pretty to eat, Whimsical Cake Co who are based in Leeds, create some of  the cutest little gifts around! I bought a couple of the unicorn marshmellow jars for my wedding back in October and I keep them as decor pieces on my shelf (the empty jars, the sweets are loonggg gone!) they are gorgeous and worth every penny!

Rouge Pony

If you are looking for a beautiful headdresses or feather shoulder wear to stand out in the crowd at a festival  then hit up Rouge Pony. Their headgear just outshines anything else I've ever seen and they create the most beautiful enchanting pieces. Hoping to get another one for partying!

Shovava

Another Etsy shop I used for my wedding stuff! I had pinned these beautiful shawls on my pintrest board a good two years before walking down the aisle but knew I wanted one for my big day when it came! These stunning unique shawls are soo beautiful and perfect for any fellow boho bride. Shovava, based in Byron Bay, Australia, have several designs of these winged shawls, the hardest part is choosing which one...

 Faux Taxidermy

Keeping stuffed animals as a trophy is definitely not something I'd want in my house but for these pretty, chic faux  and sometimes mystical versions from Faux Taxidermy I'm willing to make an exception.

PunkyPins

Discovered via Instagram, Punkypins is the ultimate destination for all things quirky to brighten up your outfit. Both badges and patches are available in loads of designs - you can even get Ryan Gosling on a badge!

Wicked Hippie

Pretty sure these guys sell via Dolls Kill but if you are looking to just get these on there own its may be better to just go directly to the Wicked Hippie Etsy shop! As seen on Miley Cyrus, Wicked Hippie make insanely cool face stickers, pom pom lashes and more! If you like to stand out, you will love these!

Vampire Bunnies

Dreaming of having your favourite Disney characters on a dress? The talented seamstress behind Vampire Bunnies Etsy shop can do just that! Whether you want to wear Simba, Ariel or the Seven dwarves', there will be a dress for you here.  Geek chicks are not left out with Dr Who, Marvel Avengers, Mario & Pokemon all having prints too!

House of Blings

For anyone who knows me, I like to dress up my phone and change covers as frequently as I change outfits! I have ALOT of cases! If you're looking for something that stands out and will get loads of phone case envy than House of Blings could be what you're looking for. I love their pressed flower cases!

Rudooles Cards

Lastly abit of a cheat one as its not an Etsy shop (but will be have a website very soon) is Rudooles Cards. My colleague has just started this up :) All of her cards are her own illustrations (super talented lady) and as you can see they are all cheeky animal and plant design cards which are really funny and have dirty puns-a-plenty!

Like I say she's currently setting up shop so these are not on sale right this second but to be the first to know when the website is ready and to see more designs, check out the Rudooles insta page :)

Have you got an Etsy shop you love? Let me know what it is and I'll check it out! :)

Sun & Moon

Bodysuits are definitely having a moment! My fave is this sun & moon print one!

Sun and Moon Bodysuit // Missguided (poss sold out?)
Black Tassel Skirt // Coachella collection @ H&M
Black Western Boots // Missguided
Black Western Fedora // ASOS

The bodysuit is back with a bang this season, with many featuring this gorgeous lattice front style detailing.

This starry mystical beaut is from Missguided, It keeps selling out and then reappearing a few days later after a restock so I'm sorry if the above link no longer works after I post this!

I've matched it up with my coachella skirt from last year for abit of a festival look and am trying work a fedora though today was not hat weather (or fringing weather tbh! check out how tangled my skirts getting! :/ ) A windy seaside town is definitely not a ideal place for any style blogger!

Sakura

Giving a 90's cami dress a Japanese kawaii spin with this beaut from Happy Monday

Pink Dolly Style Sandals // Ebay
Pink Blossom Hair Clips // H&M
Lilac Satchel // River Island

I discovered online store Happy Monday on Instagram over a year ago and saw this dress and fell in love instantly. Yay for Instagram fashion discoveries!

I've been waiting ages to find something with a pretty manga print so I was pleased to find this super print with gorgeous blossom and koi fishes on it, I even managed to get some cute space buns done right in my hair for the first time in ages to go with!

It kinda works with the UK version of Sakura season as a backdrop, no where near as amazing as seeing it in Japan but its definitely on my bucket list of places to travel to and see the real thing!

I've chosen to layer it over a tee for abit of a pretty 90s city look. It kinda grunges down the look abit as  silky cami dresses can be mistaken for a nighty... underwear can be outerwear too! its just how you style it! :)
