90's Style Disney

Disney is has been taking over Primark recently with cute Mickey Mouse prints, this 90s style one has to be my fave!
Mickey Mouse Vintage Style T-shirt // Primark
Red Starry Silk Tie // Old
Red Beret with Mickey Iron On Patch // DIY
Mom Jeans // Missguided
Studded Creepers // Shoe Zone

So, not sure if you guys caught one of my instagram posts last week but it was basically a throwback pic of my lil sis many years ago  in a pretty awesome 90s Disney Mickey Mouse t-shirt.

After that I was pretty much left dreaming of all things 90s Disney style and wondered when I might get a chance to scout the charity shops or Beyond Retro to see if I might be lucky enough to find one of these 90s style Disney tees...I didn't have to go far or look even that long as only a couple of days later I stumbled across this fab little Mickey tee in Primarni! Cheers Primark! :)

Naturally, all things 90s deserve a grungey look so I've teamed this tee up with my studded creepers and mom jeans for extra vintage style points.

I'm also re-embracing hats again as my roots are now at the crappy stage and in desp need of some attention so hello beret!

They are great for adding iron on patches to as well if you are still lovin the patch trend so I popped this mickey mouse one I just found on Ebay for about £3 and it totally transforms it to be much edgier! Think I'm gonna end up buying berets in all different colours now and putting patches on them! :)

She's the Bottle Blonde

Seeing in the new year in this funky vintage up-cycled jacket from She's The Bottle Blonde!

White PU Vintage Heart Tinsel Jacket // She's The Bottle Blonde
Yee Haa Gold Glitter Heart Bag // Skinny Dip London (sold out, similar here)
Iridescent Sequin Crop Top // Boohoo
Metallic Jeans // Topshop
White Slogan Print Flatforms // Choies

Hey guys!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas,

Mine was pretty quiet tbh. I've been so badly needing the time off so I've been making the most of the break from social media as well and just spending time away from my phone and things which has been nice. I got up earlish this morning to head out to the seafront and make the most of it whilst its still quiet in the mornings - not long till all the New years resolution people start jogging up n down it haha!

I am SO looking forward to New Years though, I don't usually celebrate NYE but this year has been so unbelievably crap in every way I am actually hoping to enjoy it and celebrate it out instead of just cosying up in front of the box and trying to stay awake till midnight!

This jacket will def be part of my NYE outfit! Shes The Bottle Blonde planted themselves firmly on my radar after seeing the incredible Confetti Crowd wearing their amazing garms over the summer festivals.

This is a one off vintage up-cycled piece I got from The Clothes Show earlier this month so I'm afraid it isn't on the website but they do have TONS of amazing NYE outfits to choose from if glitter, tinsel and psychedelic funkyness is also your thing!

Hit up the Asos Marketplace shop for the whole collection :)

Happy New Years! :)

Granny's Attic

When looking for clashing prints hitting up Vintage stores is your best bet,,.

Floral Tea Dress // Vintage
Hand Painted Leather Jacket // Dirty Disco
Glitter Socks // Topshop
Leopard Print T-Bar Shoes // Topshop
Moschino Belt // Vintage

I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled on this dress, I had been looking for a clashing granny style dress with a bold floral for grungier outfits and found this one for just £5!

It looks perfect with  my Moschino belt cinching in at the waist, glitter socks and absolute fave Dirty Disco Jacket!  Hoping to get some new biker boots as well for a tougher look.

An old dear came up to me as well to ask me about my ensemble when taking these as they reminded her of what she used to own, ended up talking to her for a while about vintage fashion and how back then they wore petticoats underneath dresses that were stiffened in a mixture of water & sugar!

If you're lovin this look I've got some more granny style outfit info below which you can get on the high street/online!

Band Tee

Most underated item in your wardrobe? The band tee! Don't just wear with jeans, wear them with pleats or midi skirts for a whole new take on grunge chic.

Pretty Reckless Band Tee // Pulp (I got this from the Edinburgh store)
Silk Pleated Vintage Style Wrap Skirt // Traffic People

Ok, confession time, I have actually had this skirt for 13 YEARS!!

That's UNWORN for 13 years!  I bought it on a trip with my mum to Croydon one Saturday and had a few sorta romantic/girly ideas to dress it but then always felt it was a little too grown up for me. Yet its survived every charity shop, and ebay stuff-to-sell  bag and is the only item I've felt compelled to keep this long without any wear, however, I think I've now discovered a new way to wear it and make it feel less dressy...

Holla to the band tee! I got this one from a cool little shop in Edinburgh called Pulp which have a really good selection. I first saw the Pretty Reckless whilst they were supporting Evanescence and went straight out to buy the album straight away, also at the same I bought a Biffy Clyro t-shirt which I also saw when they supported Muse in 2007..must have a thing for the support acts! haha!

Band tee's, like the slogan tees, are often just thrown on with a pair of jeans though I've started to branch out recently and matched this one to my Traffic People skirt to experiment and love how this combo works!

Experiment with your slogan or band tees and mix up how you wear them - they are actually the most versatile piece of clothing you could possibly own!

Pack Up Your Troubles...

Feeling positively tropical in this heat with this babin 50s style Hawaiian playsuit!

Hawaiian Print 1950's style Playsuit // Tara Starlet
Hula Girl Pin Badge // Punky Pins
Suitcase bag // Accessorize (sold out, similar here)

Finally things are starting to feel abit more summery round here, heatwave, gorgeous beach times and its officially ok to have ice cream for lunch & dinner!

With the weather being so gorgeous, I ventured down to the beach in my Tara Starlet playsuit. It’s an oldie, but a goodie, having had it for a few years now! Its been to BBQ’s, luau parties..the lot!

This time I’ve teamed it up with this super cute pin badge from Punky Pins , I am so obsessed with pins right now, I so wanna get more!

Although the temptation was there to go all wavey with my hair I left it straight as the 30 degree heatwave is probably enough for it to deal with! J

Not familiar with Tara Starlet?

Tara Starlet will have you going gaga over their vintage 50s style designs that make you feel like a 1950’s pin up girl, every design is so unique all being sourced and manufactured in London. I think I first heard of them having spotted them in a magazine some years ago now and knew I had to check them out!

Check out their SS16 collection now and let your inner pin up doll loose!

Not Your Baby

Lilac Lipstick // Make Up Revolution
Necklace // Vivienne Westwood
Lace Tights // Forever 21

Soooo in loveee with this jacket its unreal! <3

I treated myself to this jacket as a wedding present, and the lovely ladies at Dirty Disco got it to me the night before the wedding after I put in a very last minute order! Perfect timing after a long day prepping the venue and I also wore it on my wedding day as well cus well - why wouldn't you wear an amazing dinosaur leather jacket for your big day? :)

It is hand painted and so unique - I have never seen jacket like this before! Dirty Disco are amazing at handpainted vintage clothes though if you also looking for one off painted vintage garms - They have a new range out now called Heroes which includes some incredible painted jeans! The Flash Dance jeans, Modern Love leather Jacket and Keep Me Happy vintage jeans are all huge faves for me!  If dinos are your thang than check out the Sassasaurus Mom jeans here!

US clothing co Tunnel Vision are also amazing for vintage finds, I discovered them earlier this year and wore this beautiful one-off yellow tulle prom dress on my Birthday in London whilst in Camden! I am a sucker for all things tulle and I adore yellow so had I been 16 at the time I got this dress I would of most def of wore it to my school prom!

Tulle just looks incredible when toughened up with vintage leather and biker boots don't cha think? :)

Oh, one more thing! I discovered this amazing lilac lippy in Superdrug whilst searching for a Lime Crime dupe for Crybaby (if one exists please let me know!) I thought I would give it a whirl as it was only a pound but was pleasantly surprised by the colour and how nice it is when on! Lilac lippy may just be my new obsession! A total bargain for only £1! :)
