Moving On...

Bare faced, slouchy jumper days for Jan <3 Green & faux fur is my new favourite with this comfy Missguided beaut being my go to for warms RN.

Green Faux Fur Leopard Sweater // Missguided
Boyfriend Jeans // Stradivarius
Silver Boots // Primark

It's been a while, so what happened since my last post??

Well, frankly loads. As aforementioned on my December posts, 2017 went down like a lead balloon.

I recently started again at a new job (hello car mechanics life!) which I choose to start in the new year to give my self some headspace so I had a really long Christmas break which was really desperately needed.
Didn't have the money to go anywhere special but it was nice to just do nothing if you know what I mean. Working full time and trying to do all the adultey stuff life throws at you gets too much sometimes, you just need to take a step back to get the balance right and re-adjust.

It was actually on New Years eve morning (before I covered myself in glitter and Ashish sequin-ness from my last post) that I woke up really early and couldn't get back off to sleep. So I got up and did the usual passing the time thing of checking Facebook/Instagram/browsing for clothes online when I remembered a candle holder I liked a couple of months ago in H&M so went to see if it was online which it was.

Then I spotted the botanical bathroom stuff they have and sat there in my onesie for the next half hour pinning everything to my Home Pinterest Board and dreaming what my ideal bathroom would look like when I suddenly found myself googling local property rentals to see if I could imagine this dream bathroom scenario in any of them and I came across this cute bungalow, local to our area, 2 bedrooms, bigger kitchen then ours and v. importantly, had a back and front garden! (and yes it does have a cute bathroom that's already in green tile/marble to make it look botanical looking!)

I went and showed this dream bungalow to Rich, who had finally got up at this point, and we both knew it was exactly what we wanted in a home and had been looking for for years since we moved in our top floor flat almost a decade ago. So we swooned over pictures for the New Years Day, then the very next day, as soon as the Estate Agents was open, I arranged a viewing and decided we would go for it!

We had already got just enough savings to go for it with all our holiday saving money so hopefully later in the year we can save up again and go away. It just felt like the right time to do this with all that's gone wrong this could finally be our year, and the bungalow is just soo perfect!

I can't wait to start checking out garden things and doing little homewear hauls so look out for those coming to the blog in future if I get time.

Time is pretty short at the mo as we only have a month to get all our stuff packed and organised. Sounds like a long time bit with full time jobs you only really have the weekends to really get things underway so I will try and blog where I can : )

There won't be any pics from this spot anymore as this is where we put our bins out behind the flat haha! I get to do some new blog location hunting in our new area which is always really good fun,

Hope you have all had a good start to the New Year so far, if you know of any good homewear stores hit me up in the comments below to your favourites and I'll check them out!

If The Love Isn't Like 90s RNB I Don't Want It

Going crazy for my late 90s/00's themed wardrobe RN with the Carli Bybel range over @ Missguided

Blue Camo Cargo Trousers // Carli Bybel x Missguided (sold out)
Silver Boots // Primark
Black Mesh Top // olddddd!
(see those thumb holes? I would of made those back in my college days!)

Ever had an item of clothing you have dreamed about and wanted to own but never got it? These amazing cargo pants are one of these! I had watched these for a long time on the Missguided website since the Carli collab came out, but they were A. pretty expensive at £55 and B. constantly sold out.

Luck must have fallen in my favour though (now THATS a rare thing!) as it looked like someone returned this pair so I swooped in and got them. They are now my absolute faves, I had cargo and parachute trousers in the early 00s/late 90s and wore them till they literally fell apart.

Hopefully, these will last me forever, or I will grab one of the other ones in different colours as per my wishlist below. Camo print does tend to come back in and out of fashion most AW's but there is something really special about this seasons camo offering and was the refresh the camo/military look really needed to get it back on my radar.

Sorry for the non festive post also. My December has been, to be polite, a little bit shit. I do have NYE stuff up and coming so will bring some sparkle to that once I have regained my festiveness. :)

Have a good Christmas!

Is Orange the New Pink?

Controversial I know (like my love of pineapple on pizza) but I am so in love with all things orange atm...

Orange Tie Strap Cami Dress // Missguided (now only £4!)
Tiger Striped Untamed Backpack // Current Mood @ Dolls Kill
Distressed Denim Jacket // Forever 21

Pink was the colour I first thought when I changed my hair to blonde I would be wearing more often...tbh its actually been orange, I really can't get enough of it right now!

This ensemble is full of 90s fun and has been my go to autumn outfit for those days where its been pretty warm but not wanting to dig out summer dresses off the floordrobe (read wardrobe!)

This Missguided Orange dress was a total bargain even when I bought it at full price (£10) It's made of a slightly thicker crepe material and due to its shift style and un-tieable spaghetti straps, its also ideal for layering over long sleeved tops and polo necks for later in the season.

The Current Mood tiger backpack is also a new fave, even is it is a totally different shade of orange! Its much smaller then my old holographic backpack yet I somehow manage to fit all my essentials in there easily. Perfect little Autumn bag. Best thing to do when buying from Dolls Kill I've found is to buy either on Labour Day or Black Friday for best deals or free international shipping! :) Thankfully had no customs fee to pay for this one!

What do you think about wearing Orange? Would you rock orange for Autumn :)

Colour Carnival

Listens to Despacito once...Missguided are serving up the perfect Cuban influenced styles this season and in to A/W17.

Hot Pink Frill Bardot Choker Neck Bodysuit // Missguided (Just £10 in sale!)

Been a little late posting these but this outfit is the perfect one to say Adios to Summer. Pretty sure one of my Barbies had a similar outfit to this! Its definitely got that sipping cocktails, summer party vibe!

This bodysuit is in Missguided's Summer sale at just £10 and is a perfect match for these blue frill trousers. I love clashing bold colours. Just remember to do block colours for this look and just play with different colour combinations, the clashier the better!

I've definitely had more fun this season being blonde and experimenting with wearing new colours I wouldn't of bothered experimenting with before. Sounds weird to say but I feel more "me" as a blonde even though I've only had blonde hair less than 6 months. I don't see me going back to brunette for a long time. I'm digging being a barbie blondie, Loving wearing fuchsia and bright colours even more than before!

Cuban and Spanish styles are still a hot topic for AW17 but with a more gothic twist so will enjoy checking those out in the coming weeks :).

Love, Sarah x

PS. Sorry bout the visible tag in the first pic! lol! I know I should just edit it out or just not include the pic but A. it's my fave and B. I don't edit anything on my pics really aside from basic cropping or zooming in :) Just decent lighting, pretty local backdrop and (hopefully) and good hair n face day!

Rainbow Riot

All rainbow everything (obvs :)) Here's a cute little festival outfit for ya!

Rainbow Crochet Hat // Similar here @ ShopEasyTiger
Rainbow Furry Bag // Ragged Priest
Black Vest top & Sandals // Primark

This was one of the first outfits I got much much earlier this season, not long after I took a break from blogging so sorry if it is sold out! :(

If you can get your hands on these shorts though, do - as they are amazing! Its been a good couple of years since I last wore shorts due to being in-between sizes/just not having any inspo to wear them. But Its safe to say they are back in the wardrobe to stay! This Missguided pretty is the comfiest pair of shorts I've had in a while, really nice fit and don't squidh your belly and they don't ride up in to your, ahem, nether regions whilst walking about (fellow girls with thigh sisters will know what I mean! 😣)

The frayed-ness and tie dye look is beaut as well, def my favourite purchase from MG in a while.

Oh and a quick shout out to the crochet hat - been wanting one of these for ages and love this one, giving me all more reasons to learn to crochet (I will learn one day, honest)

And the fluffy bag - got a ton of compliments on this when I took it to Brighton Pride a week or so ago... Tbh it was a last min addition to my outfit as I fished it out of my "to Ebay" bag of things! perhaps I should hold on to it longer and use it more!

Check out the new Missguided Store!

So a few weeks ago I went down to Stratford City Shopping centre to check out the new Missguided Store.

After years of dreaming of what it could look like should MG go for its own store its definitely fair to say that MG did not disappoint in the slightest. oh no.

Check out quite possibly the coolest fashion store you will ever lay eyes on. Its so worth going along to check it out and of course, spend some dollar!

Where else can I go in to a fashion store with a bright pink Monster Truck with floating pink dollars, flamingos, unicorn mannequins and its own shoeniverse on the top floor?! nope. can't think of any.

This place is loaded with garms including the coveted Peace and Love collection, undies, your basics, as well as accessories on two floors.

Just Look! 😲
