The 80s Called...

and they are ready to party! So bring your big hair, huge puff sleeves and neon colours out for Christmas party wear, AW17 style!

Pink Metallic Clutch // Primark
Blue Suede Heels // H&M
Blue Scarf (worn as hair tie) // Tie Rack

Party season is officially here! TBH I'm excited even without a party to go to as I cannot wait to see this year out, is has been one of my absolute worst, and that's comparing it to alot of pretty deep stuff so you know when I say its been crap it really really has been!

The fashion side of things has been far from a let down though, this season has seen a serious 80s revival, and as a proud 80s child I am lovin it!

This Asos dress ticks all the boxes, one shoulder, puff sleeve, colourful and of course a touch of leopard print! Unfortunately the camera doesn't pick it up, but there is also silvery stitching around the print which gives it a lovely shiny festive look.

I also haven't worn anything one shoulder in a longgg time, I used to love one shoulder tops though (I totally had one of the Tammy Girl tops with one shoulder and diamante writing "Babe" on it when I was around 14, you know you had one too!) so I am rediscovering my love for these here. It is much more comfy to wear than I thought it would be.

If you are looking for a look-at-me party dress this year then I think going for one of these unique one shoulder beauties is well worth it and will be a stand out piece for your wardrobe, that and think of all the layering possibility's you could do with this..!

If you don't feel confident rocking a huge puff sleeve, then why not try one of the more subtle options to give your take on the trend? Boohoo has some great ones in metallic shades, or if you want to go full blown 80s babe then hit up ASOS for shoulder pad and puff sleeve heaven.

Lime Green

SS17 = all about colour! Get your colour fix with zingy neon tones like this cool T-shirt dress from Asos!

Silver Converse Style Plimsoles // Primark
Robot Bag // Accessorize

Sorry bout the lack of blogging lately, being uber busy DIYing and the pretty lame weather (sun, where u at?!) hasn't really been very inspiring for some Spring fashion shooting, My hair is probably thanking the cooler weather though whilst it still recovers. The temptation to try out a peachy or rose gold hue has been really hard to ignore but I need to try n keep my locks n good nick as they are due back in the salon for what will hopefully be the last lightning up sesh in a couple of weeks!

This T-shirt dress from Asos has me covered though. Absolutely perfect weekend wear as its comfy, still long-ish whilst the weather is not exactly at its warmest and its windy and adds a friendly pop of colour to remind me it's actually now May and should be much warmer than it is!

With Lime Green being one of my favourite colours anyhow I had to get this, The t shirt is not attached underneath either so it can be used to layer over anything as the dress - multiple outfits in one! The frill detail on the side of the dress also oozes more SS17 trend points as frills and ruffles are still huuuggge right now.

Great as I am also trying to be more savvy about what I buy and getting as much wear as I can out of things : )

Would you rock a bold neon outfit?

Love, Sarah x

90's Double Buns & Acid Brights

Crop Top - Drom Apparel http://www.dromapparel.co.uk/AlienAcid
Lime Jeggings - Select (bought in store but not on web yet! here's a link here to the lookbook anyway!) http://www.selectfashion.co.uk/lookbook
Baby Pink Cleated Sandals - Ebay
Bag - River Island
Necklace - Vivienne Westwood
Lips - Bourjois - Fushia Graffiti
Bindi's - Brighton Lanes

First thing you will probably note is I have my hair up - which is extremely rare!! lol! I am useless at putting my hair up in ponytails or plaits or bunches as they are constantly lopsided and my thin straight hair never wants to stay put so I have my hair down all the time!

I saw these trend appear a few weeks ago on one of my Lolita/Harajuku Fashion fan pages on facebook and loved it, and then went hunting for a youtube video (posted below) of how to do it and was mega pleased it was super easy and you can customise with bows and flowers and all sorts! result! :) I'll def be having my hair like this for the summer now, am kinda waiting for my purple dip dye to either fade or have the last couple of centimetres chopped (eeep!) as it barely shows now so I can start anew and think of something else to do to it after two years of changing dip dye colours!

On to the outfit, I'm really impressed with Select's range for Summer, with gorgeous lace co-ords, mint sheer tops, and gingham to choose from, its impossible not to want everything, The lookbook on the website is great! I've picked out these lime green jeggings as lime is one of my favourite colours and jeggings are so comfy. I needed a new pair since the teal ones I bought from Select a couple of years ago are looking abit tired now. The crop top is from Drom Apparel, check out there site for some interesting crazy prints!
