Marie

Its officially sweater weather! And Primark have got just what you need to get the cutest AW look around!

Space Bun Extensions // Lullabellz
Mom Jeans // Stradivarius

If you haven't been in to Primark and checked out all the Disney goodies in there this year, then where on earth have you been!

Spring saw Primark's Beauty and the Beast range (still going verrrryyy strong!) with everyone going completely crazy over the adorable Mrs Potts and Chip tea sets. For A/W there is so much more Disney delights on store including these sweaters of various Disney characters. I picked sassy lil Marie from Aristocats and made these cute hairbands to match!

As promised, I will let you on the secret of my space buns. As you know my hair is pretty fine so getting space buns to look cute n messy is tricky. The fab people at Lullabellz have made these fab extension scrunchies which are a huge help for this as they make your messy buns look much more fuller. Better still, they come in so many different shades to match your hair colour and come in at just £15 a pair!

They are really easy to use, even for total hair numptys like me!

Check them out, they are also really good at giving advice on which colour you may need. I asked for mine as was unsure and they got it totally irght after I emailed a pic of my hair colour to them!

Frillz

Later's Winter! We are heading in to SS17 with this bold green frill top from Asos

Vintage Fit Mom Jeans // Stradivarius
Robot Shoulder Bag // Accessorize
Silver Boots // Primark

Sorta,

Well, the blog is at least till I get back from Iceland! yep, tomorrow we are heading for Reykjavik to see out the last week or so of Winter in style! :) most def a travel blog post coming up about our trip when we return! I will be SO ready for Springwear after then :)

This is also possibly the last you will see of my brunette hair till I post up Springwear in early April as I am undergoing a big hair change when we get back! I literally cannot wait till my appointment as my roots are not mega over grown and my tresses haven't been cut for almost 2 years now so to say I can't wait is an understatement. So ready for a change.

This is abit of a sneak preview of Spring stuff that is now coming in! This ruffle green blouse from Asos is perfect for the super exaggerated sleeve trend for this season, huge ruffles which nod to the 80s (woop! my time!) and I'm also loving this green.

Not a colour I've ever really chosen but I got it thinking my new hair may match it :) For now, windswept, outgrown roots hair will have to do! : )

Check out my fave ruffle blouses below, the bigger and crazier the better!

Uniform

Transeasonal weather calls for some back to basic styling, this is my current go to outfit

Pink Tie Dye Hoodie // Forever 21
Vintage Fit Mom Jeans // Stradivarius
Mermaid Scale Sneakers // Dolls Kill

With the weather being all sorts of random at the mo, my fave outfit at the mo are jeans and a hoody!

I've literally lived in this hoody and jeans combo the last couple of weeks whilst we are sorting the flat out and moving things around. Kinda like my basics uniform for the weekend!

I found these jeans in Stradivarius in London the other week, finally a new vintagey looking pair to replace my much loved Missguided ones that are now far too tight for me. Its taken me a while to find a pair I like but finally got these!

Don't think I'll ever go back to skinny jeans now. I tend to wear jeans only when I'm feelin very tomboyish or during winter and spring so skinnys for me feel way to uncomfortable! I like my comfort over too tight clothes!

With a nod to this new season though, I've teamed up my hoodie with a corset belt. Whatever your thoughts on on this bizarre trend, I actually quite like it!

Not sure I liked the "Touch" music video for Little Mix's Perrie Edwards version of this look though think I would of like it if it was a more contrasting colour to the hoody she was wearing as the flesh coloured one didn't look to great in my opinion. I think a black one like this would of gone better!

What do you think of the corset/sweater trend?

Mustard Yellow

Mustard Wrist Strap Clutch bag - Stradivarius
Feather Brim Brown Fedora Hat - Select
Mustard Cord Shorts - Primark (bought second had off Ebay)
Yellow Jumper - Primark
Suede Brown Cut-Out Boots - New Look
Pearl Necklace - Vivienne Westwood

Ok..so technically I'm not head to toe mustard yellow!

Its probably the most annoying thing about buying something online (apart from the worry of will it/won't it fit) ,the whole colour res thing! they always photoshop stuff within an inch of its life till sometime the garment is nothing like how it looked in the pic or pics are taken in a low light so its just hard to tell. However, it seems to have worked out fine in this case anyway! Call it shades of yellow lol! I haven't worn this much brown n yellow since I was a Brownie Guide!

We all have a colour were scared of wearing or simply don't because it doesn't suit are skin tone - fair enough - I find that most jewel tones, in particular, Cobalt Blue is not a colour that suits me well. Most people's scary colour to wear though I've found is actually yellow, despite being a lovely happy colour!

I love wearing yellow, mainly in golden mustard tones rather than garish banana yellow or lemon and was really pleased when I first adventured in to Stradivarius in Barcelona, this was there colour of the moment! Having always wanted a wrist handled clutch, I picked this one up. When I got back I then started shopping around for shorts and found these cute corded ones on Ebay for £1.99, didn't realise though the jumper I already had was alot lighter! Wasn't exactly what I had dreamed up but it works together just as nicely :)

What colours do you tend to choose/avoid when shopping? :)

Being the transeasonal month, I'm sort of in-between changing over my seasonal wardrobe and my A/W make up at the mo, throwing on layers when it gets abit chilly and instead of introducing my plum and berry coloured lipsticks and metallic pallet to my make up bag, I'm using my hot pink lippy to brighten things up whilst teaming up with my ultimate go-to eyeshadow everyday pallet- Natural Eye from Too Faced.
I have been using this set now for years and despite trying cheaper dupes or Benefits' World Famous Most Glamorous Nudes which has some similar shades but they they just don't come close to how nicely these apply and how well all the shades blend - Well worth the £22 worth - My current pallet is a year old and still going strong even after using daily!

So I'll start my A/W makeup buying next month and will have lots of new stuff to show you then :)

Its been a busy September as have been on holiday and out and about abit! Barcelona was just B-E-A-Utiful! am definitely going back there (hopefully to live!!) one day. As I managed to leave some of my holiday wardrobe behind by accident, I did have to re-buy a couple of bits whilst I was out there and H&M came to my rescue as usual as there are loads of them! I did also pop in the some of Spain's bestest clothes shops such as Bershka, Pull & Bear and Stradivarius that are popping up over here in the UK gradually also.

I managed to grab some some cool things from these three shops including a teddy coat (is that weird I went on a sunny holiday and came back with a winter coat??!)  a bomber jacket, a clutch bag and a couple of cute tee-shirts... Keep your eyes on the blog, they will be up in future posts soon! :)
