Beauty: Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

The most anticipated make up palette of the summer is here - Urban decays latest offering from the coveted "Naked" palette series comes HEAT.

The IT palette for those who love warmer eyeshadow tones. As soon as I saw it it went straight to the top of my wish list and I finally got my hands on it a couple of weeks ago. The rumours are true, its beautiful.

The packaging is my favourite from all the Naked series, although the picture here doesn't do much justice it goes different sunset colours in the light and it really shiny!

Sooo, whats inside?  From a super-smooth red-brown matte and a glimmering copper to a deep, shifty bronze, Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks, intense smoky night-time looks and everything in between.

There are a total of 12 shades eyeshadow shades included which are

  1. Ounce (ivory shimmer)
  2. Chaser (light nude matte)
  3. Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte)
  4. Low Blow (brown matte)
  5. Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
  6. He Devil (burnt red matte)
  7. Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red)
  8. Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)
  9. Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte)
  10. En Fuego (burgundy matte)
  11. Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte)
  12. Ember (deep metallic copper-burgundy)

My favourite shades so far being Scorched, Lumbre and He Devil. These are gorgeous!

There are warm browns, burnt oranges and deep red eyeshadows - everything you need to create a beautiful sunset look on your lids.

I'm so in love with this palette and can't wait to get experimenting with different looks.

As I'm not blessed with the best lighting in the world at home, or a huge collection of make up brushes I'll point you in the direction of my favourite tutorials by fellow You-tubers of some amazing looks created with this palette I will definitely be trying out.

So is this palette worth the hype - hell yes I think so! It comes in at a pricey £39.50 but its soo good and it will be used often so I would say this one will be a favourite with make up junkies and novices a-like.

After being almost continuously out of stock its now back online and available here. If you want to check it out before your buy, check out your nearest Debenhams to see if they are stockists of Urban Decay. Despite ours having a massive poster for this palette outside at the moment it actually does not stock this one or anything Urban Decay (Sorry Eastbourners, try Brighton!)

What do you think of this palette?

Beauty: Urban Decay Vice Palette - Reloaded

Meet the Limited Edition Reloaded Vice Palette, full of bright Rainbow bright colours that will totally transform your make up collection and inspire you to create TONS of different eyeshadow magic!

Back in November I headed to my nearest Urban Decay counter (Brighton, Debenhams!) to try and find a new eye shadow palette that could get me excited about eye shadows again. I have been stuck in a rut with mine and opting for my trusty Naked 2 palette for a good couple of years without a change, so I really wanted to bring some colour and experimenting back in to my eye make up game.

The lady on the counter introduced me to the limited edition Vice Palette and I was instantly sold, this was just what I was looking for!

Firstly check out the packaging..

pretty huh! :)

And when you open it you get an insannneee set of 20 different shades to feast your eyes on, it literally is a rainbow of colour - with a difference.

Usually when buying a colourful palette you get your colours and thats that, you then get your nude shades for work/ day wear in a nude palette separately.

What Urban Decay have done here though is brilliant as you get all these wonderful colours to experiment with but you also get a handful of nude and smokey shades to play with if you don't want to opt for colourful shades. It is a palette that is an all rounder!

As you can see in my pictures I have been using this since before I took the pics :) my fave shades I have been using in particular are pinks and purples and blues as they have made a welcome change from smokey grey! :)

The 20 shades are chosen as part of Urban Decays 20th Bday (hence the special release of this palette!) and the shades span the past 20 years Urban Decay have been around.

This palette includes cult favourites from the past (such as the light green shade Acid Rain or electric blue UV-B) , 5 exclusive shades from Vice and Book Of Shadows Palettes, 7 best sellers from the current collection of single eyeshadows and 5 new shades which are new exclusives to this one!

As with most Urban Decay Palettes, this one comes with a huge mirror and a double ended brush 😊

This is def my favourite go to at the moment and will be for a long time, the combinations of colours are endless so it will take me a good year or two to have fun mixing and matching these!

If your stuck in a rut with your eyeshadows and want to go for a bolder look but not give up on your trusty nude shades this palette is the one!

Sleek i-Divine Arabian Nights Smoke & Shadows Palette

Shades from left to right:

  1. Scheherazade's Tale
  2. Gold Souk
  3. Aladdin's Lamp
  4. Sultan's Garden
  5. Hocus Pocus
  6. Simbad's Sea's
  7. Genie
  8. Black Magic
  9. Stallion
  10. Sorcerer
  11. Valley of Diamonds
  12. 1001 Nights

Instead of an OOTD, I decided to show you my latest edition to my makeup shelf, this amazing arabian fantasy inspired pallette from Sleek.

Dramatic eyeshadows and smokey eyes have always been abit of a difficult one for me, having really light blue eyes makes any form of dark colours abit of a no go area as they always seem to make me look like I've got a black eye no matter how much I blend or how well recommend the eye shadow is. Since being drawn firstly to the pretty packaging though of this set and then opening it up to see a collection of both smokey and warm rich colours which are my favourite to wear made me instantly want to try out this pallette!

All the colours blend so well and it's easy to go for a subtle look with shades 1,2,3,4 & 7 and then using the other shades for going out times. Its really easy to create a smokey eye using these gorgeous shimmering jewel shades too minus the black eye issue as they smudge together to create a more natural looking smokey eye rather then taking a black marker pen to your face as some smokey eye product have been like when I've tried them, with these you can build up the dramaticness of the colours as much as you like. The deep tones of green, blue and gold melt together creating really effective party look they are really shimmery as well, my pics don't really do them much justice!

These pallets are only £7.99 from Boots and are perfect for all skin tones. Another amazing product from Sleek! Will have to try out the Vintage Romance pallette next I think which has loads of pretty purples and pinks for a girlier vibe :) Just love this pallette!
