Jan Blogger Babes 2016

First blogger babes of 2016 - so many amazing outfits to kick of this year there were soo many to choose!

My fave blog overall this month has to be Hannah Louise F, although I've followed her for quite some time I haven't really featured her much on here till now.

Her posts this month have been amazing, check them out for some serious blogging location and outfit inspo - which is particularly difficult at this time of year due to the weather and that it gets dark so early - Hannah photos are gorgeous and her outfits are ALWAYS on point!

Bad Sport

Hands up who is totally in love with UNIF's latest knitwear offerings?!

Vintage Mom Jeans  // Missguided
Mesh Socks // Primark
Robot Bag // Accessorize - now £10.50!
Floral Vintage Style 70s Belt // Primark
Black Studded Creepers // Shoe Zone

The new in stuff is so wishlist worthy! - think a mash up of Lazy Oaf and White Pepper and this is what they have come up with - I'm not always a fan of the fact that in winter the colours on the rails are often darker - why can't clothes be colourful all year round! UNIF seems to also agree and have created an amazing line up of colourful knits including the yellow Bad Sport roll neck.

I do love a good roll neck jumper but hadn't seen one in a while I like till this one caught my eye,  If yellow isn't your bag there are three other colours to choose from, I kinda want one in each colour!

Best news is UNIF now have a concessions stand at Topshop Oxford Street! Can't wait it go and have a look the next time I'm in the big smoke!

You can now keep warmer for less and get 20% off at UNIF if you buy a sweater!. Quote FREEZING at check out! :)

Maybelline - The Nude Palettes

Nude palettes have become a staple piece in my make up bag. easy to wear and with so many options to blend colours, they are a must have!

As you may be aware by now, I'm not a huge fan of premium make up brands - I'm always on the hunt for a good dupe of a more expensive product and honestly don't feel that there is much difference in quality when it comes to comparing two similar beauty products from the premium side of the scale versus high street versions.

My first nude pallet I have is my Urban Decay one (the only premium brand I like aside Two Faced) Naked palette, which I reviewed last year, however, found it wasn't good when it came to transporting it around as I'm not an early bird, I tend to do my face on the train to work to catch up on extra zzzzs.

Urban Decay have answered this issue by also making more compact travel versions with a handful of the shades shades in but it is still crazy expensive at £23 for 6 shades, so I went on the hunt for a compact nude palette that doesn't compromise on the amount of shades, a good mix of shades ranging from whites, golds to dark browns and at a good price.

Thankfully Maybelline answered my wishes by bringing out the Nude palette (the one in black) a few months ago which I absolutely adore! - at less than half the price of Urban Decay with many similar shades and make up bag friendly - result!

Just after Christmas, they also released Blushed Nudes - perfect shades for the Spring with colours ranging from white, warmer pink tones and silver.

Although they look quite shimmery they are very subtle and can be worn during the day.

Each palette comes with a application brush, the only way it would be made totally perfect is if it came with a mirror but this would prob bump the price up much higher.

The nudes pallet is full of your fave typical nude colours again starting from white and sandy colours to golds and dark browns for brushing in to the eyelid crease. Sorry you can tell this was taken after I started using this one, its not a clean looking as my relatively new Blush palette ha!

On both palettes its so easy to mix colours - I don't think I've discovered any shade that doesn't compliment another! They are perfect for wearing on their own or to mix and match, I tend to choose a lighter shade for the corner of my eye (tear ducts area) and then for the other half of my eyelid, blend in a darker shade.

Find the Nude Palettes in Boots now - they are currently on specal offer so can get them for £7.99 instead of £10! :)

My Jan Sales Picks - Accessories

Throughout the January I haven't had much luck finding any outfits in the sales as such, I actually hate trawling through messy sales rails only to find something you think is in your size but turns out its on the wrong hanger....ain't got time for that!

I do enjoy finding accessories though, before Christmas I saw these beauties but felt they were just abit pricey for me to be parted with any monies from my wallet - now that Christmas is over with they have all gone down to half price, some even 75% off! :)

Robot Bag - Accessorize - was £32 now £10.75

As per usual the Accessorize sale delivered, I always tend to find something in Accessorize. I loved this lil Robot bag when I saw it before Christmas but at £35 I couldn't really justify it despite my love of  novelty bags. In the sale though this is not only £10! Bargain!

Velvet Bra & My Little Pony Phone Case - Topshop - was £23 now £12, Case £5

I saw this cute set in Topshop In Oxford Circus the other week, I've been a fan of push up bras lately so wanted something that was still pretty but less padded on days in between (don't wear push up bras for days on end..it hurts!) This velvet one ticked all the boxes, is comfortable and like most Topshop bras I find fit nicely.

The phone case was abit of a random find, there were loads of them in he sale baskets near the concessions stuff  so I picked it up having wanted a My Little pony case for my collection for a while! Not sure what the brand is tbh and neither did the cashier!

Pink Mongolian Furry Bag & Brown Furry Stole/Scarf  - New Look - Was £20, Now £8, Fur stole was £15 now £7

I saw these both in New Look Stratford City. I have been wanting a Mongolian furry bag for ages but never get round to getting one as they are so pricey. This one was just in the sales and with this blush pinky colour will go with all Spring wardrobe pallets as well as metallics :) Expect to see this one in a few outfit posts soon. The brown furry scarf I had my eyes on again for a while but couldn't afford it so jumped on it in the sale!

Silver Glitter Platforms - Boohoo - was £25, now £16

You may remember my velvet ones I blogged about just before Christmas? These were another amazing pair from Boohoos stunning partywear collection that I had to also get! so looking forward to teaming these up with socks and prints for quirky party looks.

Stars and stripes shoe laces & comic strip nail stickers - Claire's - was £5 , now £3 stickers now £2

Claires always pull off a good sale! I picked these up a some saturday treats! The shoe laces are something i thought I could jazz up some old white trainers with and remind me to book our trip to NY soon hopefully and the comic strip nails look amazing, I love nail stickers and Claire's ones usually do last well.

Have you had any lucky finds in the sales? Let me know! :)

Love, Sarah x
